Also, I can't remember what it was called, but it was the McDonalds burger where it was split in to two sides of a Styrofoam package to "keep the hot side hot and the cold side cold". That was a good burger.
I only know this one because of someone pointing out a while ago that it was Jason Alexander in the commercial. 😆
They still make them! But either I'm 800 years old, or the recipe for most Tastykake flavors don't taste the same/as good as when I was a kid.
There's so many frozen desserts I used to love. Vienetta. This Friendly's watermelon roll.
I had a Twinkie once as an adult and it definitely did not live up to childhood memories. I don't think I want to subject my memory of butterscotch krimpets to that fate! They may be best left in my hazy nostalgia for the 1990s.

God, I would give so much to have a Wendy's chicken caesar pita wrap again! I lived on those in college. Chili's had a version for a long time that was close, but they discontinued it too.
My high school had both a Pizza Hut cart and a Taco Bell one, and the Taco Bell had these slightly spicy chicken and rice burritos that were stupidly good. I could never find them in the actual restaurant, though, just in that dumb cart outside our cafeteria.
I miss Bill Knapp's restaurants. I believe it was only in the Midwest (I'm in MI), but we often went there for birthdays because they took a % off of the birthday person's meal which was reflective of the person's age, and a free birthday cake (chocolate was the best). Everyone got biscuits and honey, and they were so good. (At least to me as a kid.) ('80s and '90s, but maybe the last one closed in the early 2000s?)
I had forgotten all about these! My family lived in the Toledo area until I was 10 years old and we had one somewhere nearby. We didn’t eat there often, but my dad would periodically buy a chocolate cake to take home. It was so good!
McDonald’s used to have these salad shakers that came in a clear cup, and you would add dressing then shake the whole thing up to mix everything together. Like a precursor to mason jar salads I guess.
Schwepp's raspberry ginger ale. ('80s, maybe into the '90s)
I don't remember the name, but I remember there were sandwich cookies with chocolate and vanilla filling and the cookies were smiley faces. I loved those cookies. ('80s)
Vienetta ice cream treat, for when you wanted to be fancy. ('80s and '90s)

I miss the pita wraps/sandwiches at Wendy's. (Late '90s)
Weren't the called Giggles or something?
We could only get these on vacation in Maine.
I loved Roy Rogers, especially their curly fries and strawberry shortcake sundae. I don't know if there's still one on the Jersey Turnpike.

A Vienetta, OTOH... that I could get behind.
Yes, on the Twinkies! We saw them at Target, and the kids begged for them. DS2 ate one at home and acted like I fed him poison (and he isn't picky). I couldn't imagine WTF was wrong, and then I tasted it, and it was truly nasty and disappointing.
I also miss Tato Skins, Pudding Pops, and Cheese TidBits.
Another one I just remembered - WOW chips, made with Olestra that caused diarrhea....
I ate so many of these LOL. They didn't bother my stomach at all, and came out right when I was trying to lose all the weight I'd gained freshman year of college. Miracle chips!
Do you think if I froze pudding, it would be like a pudding pop? Those things were so dang good, and this thread has awakened my longing.
In my longings for pudding pops, I did some googling and came across lots of recipes which basically say you just…freeze pudding in popsicle holders to make them, but I never tried it. If you do, please come back and let us know how they turn out!
my family never did fast food with one exception: baked potatoes at Wendy's lol. I have not been to one in decades, but I have to assume they do not still sell baked potatoes covered in cheeze whiz with broccoli or bacon, haha.
Baked potato and chili is my standing Wendy’s order. They definitely do still have bacon and cheese, but I think the broccoli might be gone.
Orbitz, a clear drink with blobs in it. I didn't like it but I loved the attention I got when I would drink basically a lava lamp and would buy it when I found it. I'm pretty sure I am the only one who did.

I remember when this drink came out! It looked so cool, but I was so disappointed when I hated it. It was like flat pop with chewy things.
