My 18 year-old student has a permanent tab open on her laptop — the July 4, 2004 Goo Goo Dolls performance of “Iris” in Buffalo, NY. She was not yet born at that time, but made me watch all six minutes of it and says she watches it all the time, lol. It resonates with the youth, too!
I was at this concert. It was the summer I graduated high school. The rain was insane. This song always takes me back to that night. The whole world was open to me. I dontthink I will ever capture that feeling again.
I feel like I’ll listen to a song on repeat for a while, get tired of if and move onto something else. A couple that come to mind though are Bohemian Rhapsody and Toxic.
I know these guys are Trumpers but I also love the one hit wonder Kryptonite by Three Doors Down, lol.

Ugh. Why!?!? (Not directed at you) Finding out people are Trumpers is such a deep disappointment, I don’t know why I know they are out there but ugh. Do better!!!

Eta: yes, I ignored the assignment. I love songs I can listen to on repeat.
Honorable mentions that I play if I’m in a long car ride by myself because I consider them super cheesy but I love them: Meatloaf’s I Would Do Anything for Love GNR’s November Rain
I have listened to Sarah M's Possession piano version on repeat for 2 hours straight before. Generally I can listen to songs many times and ignore them like background noise. Now and then I will hate a song.
Similarly, I bet I could listen to Dave Matthew's live solo version of Everyday on repeat, but then I would get emotional since it was from the, um, fundraising concert after a devastating event.
Stick Season by Noah Kahan. I know it's relatively new, but we listen to it all.the.time and we're not even a little sick of it.
Along these lines I've been on a real David Kushner kick with Daylight, and Skin and Bones.
I follow him on IG though and his looks do not match up with his voice in my head lol it kills me every time.
My current lineup every time I get in my car is Hozier- Too Sweet Hozier- Work Song Hozier- No Plan Kushner- Daylight Kishner- Skin and Bones Teddy Swims- Lose Control Lord Huron- The Night We Met
They’re all similar vibes so if you like one, you may like the others
