I'm confused that someone could wear bombas and go on to even consider wearing another brand. Bombas for life.
Okay, fill me in. What is so great about Bombas? I never tried them before, but everyone is raving about them. I'm headed to Disney in about a month and could use good socks.
ssmjlm, beige, tan, light pink, or gray would generally be fine under a light colored shoe. I haven't particularly found shoes to be as sheer as a shirt where I've been super concerned though..
bbdoll, they stay in place, the seam hits my toe in a perfect spot, they launder well, feel cushiony, just love all around. I thought they were stupid and then gave into the hype and have never regretted it.
I purchased these twice because my girls liked them so much that I needed them for myself. They are labeled at “boy/girl” but the large size will easily fit women’s size 9-10. I’m an 8 and they still have plenty of stretch. I don’t know if there is something about the shape of kid feet that they are adjusting these too, but they stay on my feet really well.
I do the Bomba ankle socks. My shoes/feet eat all of the no-show socks... for something like days of walking at a theme park it would drive me bonkers.

Too many shoes are light colored, so I need white ones.
But they won't stay clean.
If the socks aren't visible, why does it matter if they get dingy over time? If you are washing them, you know they are clean even if they are no longer pure white. I'm not a white sock person because I wear dark shoes, so maybe I'm just missing something.

I’ve bought several packs of these and been happy. They are very thin if you feel like the bombas are too thick. They stay up well for me, especially compared to every other brand I’ve tried.

Maybe I wear socks wrong, but I can see them peeking out at the heel in several pairs. 🤷🏼♀️
New balance, brooks, Nike are all in current rotation.

I am also not a no-show sock person when I wear shoes that require socks (I usually wear boots). I think this is a situation where you care 1000% more than anyone who might see the edge of your sock and notice/care that it isn't perfectly snowy white. It's OK if that bothers you and you want socks you can always return to pure white.
