Finished River Mumma and I liked the way it blended mythology with present day.
Still listening to Fathomfolk. My audio picks for this month are Looooooong.
QOTW: What aspects of everyday life are you picky about? Food, tv, books, music, clothes …? I feel like I'm picky about all those things? I'm at the age to know what I like and prefer those things. Although I guess I'm more open to trying new foods than tv/books/movies/clothes.
I finished: Benediction by Kent Haruf, 3* (this was my least favorite book of the trilogy) The Coronation Year by Jennifer Robson, 2*
I'm going to start Daughter Mine by Megan Miranda tonight
QOTW: I feel like I'm pretty picky about most of those things, with the exception of music. I have an uncanny ability to tune out music. It always ends up as background noise that I pay absolutely no attention to. For that same reason I cannot listen to audio books.
I’m almost finished with Pride and Prejudice and am also reading Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer — apparently I’m on a books-assigned-in-school kick.
QOTW: I don’t really think of myself as picky; I like a variety of things in all the categories I could think of. I’m probably the pickiest about music, but I also don’t listen to music all that much — when I do, I want it to suit my tastes.
Mexican Gothic - I can't decide how i felt about this one. Variable levels of interest and enjoyment throughout the book. The Books of the Raksura, Martha Wells. (3 book set) was fine. not amazing. it felt not totally fleshed out in places?
QOTW: I am picky about how my clothes feel. I think I'm otherwise pretty un-picky. I have opinions, but like...i'll eat taco bell while also feeling very strongly about where the best real tacos are from the options nearby.

I finally finished Shelf Life: Chronicles of a Cairo Bookseller. Really enjoyed that one. Also read Stone Cold by David Baldacci. I always like his books.
I don't feel like I'm high maintenance, but I am picky about a lot. For right now, I'll say, how the dishwasher is loaded. I thought men were supposed to be better at spatial awareness! Somehow I can fit 1.5x as much in the dishwasher as DH.
