This is absolutely terrifying. The climate countdown clock is at 5 years and 62 days. This is the critical time window to reach zero emissions. Think about how fast the past 5 years went by. Let’s hope the U.S. elects Biden who will actually move our country towards that goal instead of away from it.
I don't even know what to say anymore. If you live in a place that is already flooding, perhaps move as soon as you can?
The talk in the Drowning South article about all the infrastructure that needs built for the 6 inches of ocean rise seems like a finger in the metaphorical dam.

Let's be clear here though...he's not going to actually do enough. Not unless there's some huge change coming, it's not happening. He likes trains and knows the science is real, but he's still not going to take the kind of drastic action needed to even sorta kinda mitigate what's happening.
But he'll at least keep us making incremental improvements rather than turn and run headlong into even worse outcomes, so....yay biden.

The way people freaked out about electric cars was telling enough. There's no way any democratic government is going to be able to make the changes fast enough.

If anyone is interested, there is a online tool to see how rising sea levels might effect your area. I was surprised it wasn't more in my area since I am surrounded by water, but I guess our elevation saves us in this case.
