We recently moved and this is the first time our gym area has hardwood floors.
Should I be worried about the treadmill being directly on the hardwood floors? We have a Horizon treadmill and it looks like it has little flat feet on the bottom.
The hardwoods are a lighter colored white oak. I’m considering getting a pad underneath but then wasn’t sure if that would end up staining the floor over time?

H read up on this a lot when we got our tread. We have a mat meant for a horse stable under ours. It protects the floor and absorbs any noise (we live in an apartment).
I turned an old rug upside down so the soft side is on the hardwood and the back side is under the treadmill. It's possible after years the hardwood under will be a different color since it was protected from the sun, but that happens no matter what. I moved it once after 2 years and everything looked fine. FWIW it's also a Horizon.
