I’m sticking with fairly light stuff this week. Just finished The Body in the Garden by Katharine Schellman (fun, but I like the others in the series better) and started Unmarriageable by Soniah Kamal, which is taglined as Pride and Prejudice in Pakistan.
QOTW: I love a good gin and tonic, though I don’t really drink alcohol these days. A local boba shop makes this amazing purple citrus tea that’s very summery.
I finished Merciful Crow by Margret Owens. It suffered a bit in comparison to her Little Thieves series but it was still quite good. I already have the sequel saved on my Kindle.
I also read A Longer Fall (Gunnie Rose, #2) by Charlaine Harris. Really enjoying this series and glad a friend told me about it because it never would have been on my radar otherwise.
Now I am reading How to Be Eaten by Maria Adelmann. It's weird and I am not sure that I like it but it is holding my attention for now.
QOTW: Gin and tonic is definitely my go to summer cocktail. For non-alcoholic, I have really been craving iced peach black tea lately.

charlatti - I thought Unmarriageable was a really good interpretation of P&P. So many concepts don't translate into modern society, but Kamal found a way where they did.
Vespasia - I was waiting to see what you thought of Merciful Crow. I loved Little Thieves, but wasn't as sure about the story in this series.

Finished Morally Gray and The Fairytale Life of Dorothy Gale. Both were fine.
Also fine was Cruel to be Kind which was about a woman who runs off when she finds a letter and thinks her husband is cheating on her/has a child with another woman. It just felt disjointed.
Started listening to The Cheat Sheet, a romcom about best friends who each like the other more than friends but are afraid to tell the other. I like the characters, but am very frustrated by their lack of communication.
QOTW: What is your favorite summer beverage? alcoholic = margaritas non-alcoholic= iced tea
