What book does this remind me of?

The description of one of this month's Kindle First selections feels like a near exact copy of a different book I've read in the past year or two....but I cannot remember what book.

Has anybody read the book this is reminding me of? The MMC ends up encountering a bunch of himself, some of him want to kill him, it's generally very dark if that helps.

Sounds similar as well to the Space Between Worlds, but that one is more sci-fi (less based in a current reality is maybe a better way to describe).
