Brought to you by my new favorite discovery-what is your favorite morning drink? Bonus if you tell me how to make it or order it.
I just discovered Dunkin cold brew caramel pods. I absolutely love it. I brew the pod in my large travel cup over ice and then add half of a vanilla protein shake, maybe a sweetener packet. It's devine.
I allow myself one coffee out a week, which is Starbucks vanilla sweet cream cold brew. I also think I need this on every trip and vacation and actively map the nearest Starbucks to my accommodations.

I have very straightforward coffee tastes. I prefer drip coffee on the strong side with a splash of half&half or milk. I rarely buy coffee out for that reason.
I do buy good beans though! And I grind them fresh each day. I buy them from a local place that imports from various locations/producers or from a nearby Colombian coffee shop that sells their beans in bulk.
My favorite drink is a Chai tea latte, but only from one specific place. Other places have too much milk or too much spice - the mixture isn't as good. Their iced version is also good.
I like a lot of different coffee and ice coffee drinks also, but I try to limit the caffeine, so I opt for tea a bit more often or decaf sometimes.

I'm not a coffee drinker. My go-to right now is an Alani Nu energy drink. Peach is my favorite. If I'm out at a coffee place, a Dragon drink (mango-dragon fruit with coconut milk) is my favorite at Starbucks. In the PNW, we have a million drive through coffee stands, so I'll get a Red Bull Charger, which is any type of flavored syrup with Red Bull and club soda. Strawberry-Coconut mixed with Red Bull is my usual.
supertrooper1, DD likes the dragon fruit sparkle lemonade at Starbucks and gets the blue raspberry Italian soda minus whipped cream at Dutch bros. She is a bigger Dutch bro fan because they have more non coffee choices.
My morning go-to is drip coffee and French vanilla creamer. I like the Kona Coffee from Hawaii. For a lazy splurge I really like making coffee in my French press and that is how I began to like coffee was our friends made it in the press from fresh ground beans. I don't care for drive through coffee and we have a million of them. If I order a coffee I will get a White Chocolate Mocha but most times I go with DD and get a non coffee drink at Dutch Bros.
Random but my sister was in NOLA for a conference and asked DD what she wanted, and DD said coffee and beignets. She brought her back a container Cafe Dumond coffee beans and the box mix to make beignets and two beignets from the coffee stand in the airport. It was the 1 thing that held her up at security.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
Like librarychica, I enjoy strong coffee with a splash of half and half. I spend $$ my coffee maker and beans.
Team boring coffee!
I do also like those dragonfruit refresher-type drinks, especially WaWa’s versions, and my oldest daughter LOVES them, but I don’t think of them as a morning drink. More of a summer afternoon treat.

It's NOT boring coffee!!! It's delicious, strong coffee that needs little doctoring. Boring coffee is like weak Folgers....the stuff that is practically clear. (what my mom's extended family drinks)
I will drink literally anything with caffeine in it. Coffee? Yes. How do I take it? I don’t care. Black, cream, sugar, cream and sugar. Whatever. (Mostly I drink it black.) cold brew? Recently discovered it and love it. Iced coffee? Well, that requires cream and sugar, but sign me up! (Note: I might try this with a protein shake. That sounds intriguing to me.)
Tea, I’m a little bit prissier about. If it’s hot, I like cream and sugar or just sugar. If it’s iced, only lemon, and no sweetener better even look at it. Or get near it.
I'm also a Chai Latte girl. I make it at home with the Tazo mixture and use the skinny version so it has a little less sugar. Also use unsweetened oat milk - I can't tolerate regular milk.

This is my fave too! We have a local coffee shop that roasts beans and since I started buying it there, I can never go back to grocery store grounds. I’m a snob now. And as someone who lives in the land of Dunkin Donuts, it can be a struggle to find coffee out that’s up to my standards.
Stok Cold Brew unsweetened with planet oat caramel creamer.
But the cost has gotten so high. My DH bought me an ice coffee makerfor my birthday and I love it. So now I brew dunkin donut caramel crazy ground coffee and add the caramel planet oat creamer. Not as good but a fraction of the cost.
Stok = $5.88 at Walmart (when they even have it) local grocery store $6.69 Makes 4 coffees.
Dunkin ground coffee $7.96 for 11 oz = approximately 25 coffees.
1 pitcher brews about 5 cups at a time and I get apprx 5 pitchers.
