Israel is illegally expanding settlements in the West Bank. The largest seizure of land in 30 years. These are the types of actions that are illegal, ignored by the world, and have no consequences to the settlers or Israel.
The world expects Palestinians to just smile, give up their land, and do nothing when illegally and voilently being forced out. When they don't, they are labeled terrorists, obstacles to peace, playing the victim card, etc.
When will Israel be held accountable and made to stop its illegal actions? By who?
I keep hearing more and more about fears that Israel's grand plan is to occupy the whole region-Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt, Jordan. Its actions in recent weeks don't negate that. The government tweet a few days ago calling for troops to occupy the Sinai peninsula, the land seizure at the Jordanian border, the current actions in Gaza and the West Bank and Lebanon and Syria all support that theory. It's crazy to watch the world ignore what's going on.
One of my big worries I have on the international front if Trump is elected is that he will send troops to actively support the Israeli government's annihilation of Palestinians.

this is not a far fetched view. I wouldn't put it past him to send troops to support Russia.
I don't understand the hubris or why they think they will get away with this. In the past the world may have turned a blind eye, but not anymore.
I mean, the U.S. is backing them. I'm not a geopolitical expert, but I can easily see why Israel's government thinks that they can continue to commit genocide and other war crimes when the United States has so far supported every move they've made in Gaza. It's sickening.

It might not be physical troops right now, but we are already actively aiding in the support of Israel's genocide of Palestinian people.

I’ve seen that South Africa has brought a case against Israel in the international court of justice. Otherwise, it seems like many countries, especially "important" countries in the eyes of the world are not only just turning a blind eye but actively supporting Israel. The U.S. being a very clear example. Did I miss something in which the U.S. has said they will stop supporting Israel?
I read the article but have a question - is this is response to the ultra-orthodox now being eligible to be drafted? Like a "hey sorry the courts said you have to be drafted, but look we'll give you land" trade by Netanyahu in a bid to keep his power?

Many countries are starting to vocalize recognize Palestine. I would consider France and important country and seems like they may be shifting towards recognizing it as a state.

Very true. It's already worrying, but physical troops would make it so much worse

Malaysia has been adamantly pro-Palestine since the start (for not necessarily good reasons as it's officially anti Jewish anything. Technically I am illegal for using yiddish which is just standard American to me). But, it's Malaysia, and no one really cares. Pop about the size of FL.
The protest against starbucks, kfc, and mcd has actually been successful. I take back my former words that protests don't do much. The one starbucks at our airport is closed now. The mcd doesn't even open until 9am. KFC was formerly 24hr and is now about 12.
I did recently lookup what passports they can get (my mind wanders). The US does recognize palestinian authority passports. I have no idea how they can access that now, but they don't have to have israeli. Small things that at least they don't need their opresser's stamp.

Thank you for clarifying. I’m glad France isn’t supporting Israel and isn’t turning a blind eye.
wanderingback, oh, they still support Israel. But more government people and politicians are speaking out saying they shouldn’t and to recognize Palestine.
Canada just put out a statement urging Israel to reverse its settlement decision. More countries need to do the same.
We don’t need more violence. I would just like it at the very least, to stay within the borders outlined in 1948 and to not impose an apartheid like the system of life for Palestinians in the West Bank and to not control every aspect of life in Gaza.
You cannot occupy and control and continue to land grab and have 18 year old soldiers who shoot Palestinians for fun and expect peace.
