All of our bills are set to auto pay. When H's wallet got stolen he changed all of our bills over to our new cards.
He transposed a card number or something like that with T Mobile and our bill is past due. H got the notice today. He just paid the entire $240 balance, but the bill was late. He says we didn't have to pay a late fee.
I've never paid a bill late before. How does it affect his/my credit and how bad of a screw up is this?
We aren't applying for new credit any time within the next 6+ months.

With bills like TMobile it works a little differently than credit cards/loans.
If loans go past due it doesn't report until you are over 30 days late. I'll spare the details, but basically for each month late you are how it reports to your credit it gets worse.
For bills like PSE, Tmobile, etc, I don't know the exact rules, but they don't report to your credit until they send you to collections, which at minimum would be after 90 days. Your service would be shut off before that, so you would know
