Great. More shit on top of this shitty ass weekend. She’s been overruled by the appeals court before. I got the impression they weren’t fans of her bullshit rulings, so here’s hoping they shut her ass down again. Even though it is a conservative court, they’ve done the right thing before.

The appeal seems like it would be successful, so she probably did this feeling certain about Trump’s chances of winning in November and could score brownie points to be part of his administration or on the SCOTUS. It wouldn’t matter if the appeals court does the right thing, loyalty is what matters to Trump.
Will this go to the Supreme Court? Because we know how that will turn out… it seems like her decision goes against all precedent.
It could eventually. The NYT noted that very recently, Thomas stated something in one of his rulings (might have been a concurrence) about special prosecutors not being constitutional even though the case didn’t involve special prosecutors, so reporters and people wondered why he’d say that. And then this happens. Cannon clearly does not have any kind of independent mind.
The fact that the WaPo sent an email with this headline with a photo of the boxes of documents in FUCKING BATHROOM killed me dead. Like, need to carefully build a case and dot all our i's and avoid all appearance of blah blah blah but in the meantime MAL was just stuffed full of documents and he didn't give them back when asked and we all know this is true and apparently it might not matter one fucking bit.
Also, I know that trumps transgressions were worse because he also refused to return them when asked - but just in general how hard is it to not keep boxes of sensitive documents in weird places? Since apparently everybody does this. I know AGENCY STAFF don't but apparently electeds are like, "welll...I mean...sensitive documents sure, but why CAN'T i put them in my guest room closet? It's so much more convenient for ME.

That's what I heard too.... Basically Thomas threw her a bone on an unrelated case & winked at her to toss the case. It was really terrible but got lost in all the other really horrible things they did.
