A flight attendant says he hit him. Davis and other witnesses say he tapped the FA on the arm asking for ice for his son. Davis says he is considering legal action. I hope he does. WTF.
Apparently UAL reached out to his “team” to apologize. But they didn’t reach out to him directly? I get that celebrities have people who handle communication, but this seems like a situation where the CEO should call and personally apologize, no?

My partner got escorted off an Amtrak train by the police (thankfully not arrested or handcuffed) in a very similar fashion where the conductor lied and contacted the police. My partner found someone high up email address in Amtrak on linked in and emailed them and he actually got a call the next day. So yeah, I would hope they personally reached out to him. So fucked up.

wanderingback I’m so sorry that happened to your partner! I know a phone call and an apology doesn’t make things right, but I feel like it’s the least they can do.
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus
I hope he sues too. The fact that they uncuffed him and apologized once he was off the plane tells me there were clearly witnesses backing up his side of the story and that’s so insane that it was allowed to get that far off the word of just the one FA. I understand that they need to take safety in the air very seriously, but this is so beyond the pale.

That should count as false informing and the attendant should face legal consequences along with being fired. The airline should call or meet with Davis if he wants that and a public statement from the police and airline confirming this was an injustice and he did nothing wrong.
Now I’m wondering why there aren’t security cameras on all airplanes. We have them on other forms of shared transportation and we have wifi on planes. All the videos we see of incidents are taken by other passengers. You’d think with all the other TSA concerns and Air Marshalls, they’d even want a live feed so if there was a hi-jacking they could monitor it from the ground. Granted it probably wouldn’t be able to detect something like this, but at least a camera of the overall cabin would show some of the interaction. They say it’s because the flight attendants are supposed to be monitoring but what do you do when they abuse their power? Make them wear body cams like cops?
