How many shows do you binge at one time?

Just curious and bored.  How many different shows do you usually 'watch', as in you started a series and plan to continue it, along with other series.  

I like to have 3 if I can find ones that fit my criteria.  1 totally mindless show (currently Love Island, but I'm almost done with it and need another one if anyone has recs) that I can watch while working out and not pay much attention to, 1 kinda mindless one that I can watch while reading on here or doing other stuff online or eating if I'm home alone (just started Felicity...I never watched it beyond the first 2 episodes when it was on back in the day) that I am sorta paying attention to but hope it's ok if I miss something, and 1 that needs my full attention for when I'm really bored (just finished The Killing season 1 and going to start season 2.  Also recently tried Who Is Erin Carter but didn't like it after the first few episodes).  

I definitely try to only have 1 that I really have to pay attention to.  If I start more than 1, I end up liking one more than the others and pretty much only pick that to watch until I've finished it.

Usually just one, but right now we're alternating between a few, which we almost never do. I need a lighter one right before bed!

H turns on The Boys but I try not to watch because it's so horrible.

Just one. If I'm looking to kill time or have background noise, I go to YouTube instead of a series.

Although, I always have a "sleep show" which I consider to be different. Something I've seen enough times that I can easily tune it out and fall asleep to.

1 if it’s something new and really good I want to watch but sometimes I’ll have a 2nd I’m watching with DH and the time we can watch a show together not safe for kids is very limited. Lately I’ve been catching up on older shows and will usually have a couple in the rotation because I’m not always in the mood for them. I’ll watch them when I’m doing specific tasks like walking on my walking pad or folding laundry, which is good motivation to so those things, but it’s usually only 1-2 episodes at a time.

Prior to the last 9 months, I hadn't really watched much tv in years. Now I’m almost overwhelmed with the options, lol. I currently have 3 going.
The Bear, which I only had season 3 that just came out, so I’ll finish soon I’m sure.

Love, with Gillian Jacobs. I’m 2 season in but got distracted when I signed up for Peacock.

Vanderpump Rules 😆 I stopped having Bravo around season 6 or 7, but got a $20/yr deal offer here for Peacock, so I picked it back up and only have season 11 left.

I’ll probably go to the rest of the RH I had to give up and then start Below Deck because I always like them while traveling(always seem to be on when I’m flying).

One. We only have time to watch one episode a night before bed so if all the episodes are out we just watch them all until we’re done. Finding shows to watch is a pain to me, so we watch one and then start searching for another. I hate the streaming era.

We’re watching House of Dragon right now tho and it’s one episode a week, so we fill in with another show while we wait for new episodes to drop. But that’s not really the norm anymore.

A serious one for H and I.
One for 15yo and I.

I keep trying to find one for 9 yo and I and we get it sometimes but not as often as I'd like.

Just one, I didn’t really like television until after I had kids and now I do really like it but overwhelm myself if I try to watch too much at once. Always love movies

I only really watch tv on my commute 3 times a week. So I typically watch 1 show at a time until it’s finished and then find something else .

I don’t find that there are many good shows to binge simultaneously.

Some of these responses confuse me. You’re not binging them if you’re watching an episode a week.

I have a few older shows I can binge, like various L&O and house. Resident alien is in the mix right now. It's just filler tv, and I often, thankfully, fall asleep to it. I hate my insomnia, and things like this seem to help.

Usually-
A treadmill show. A little intense but I don’t want too much creepiness at 6 am
A bedtime show. Something I’ve seen a lot and can fall asleep to
A regular show for when I have time in the evenings
Sometimes DH and I are watching through something together, but usually more in the winter than summer
Background noise shows are Gilmore Girls or hallmark Christmas movies. Or sometimes hgtv/house hunters etc




But this summer I started watching shameless and I am watching it anytime I have a minute. It’s terrible. I can’t look away

I don't know what you mean by binge at one time? I watch a lot of TV, so I will watch a few episodes of something and then have to step away and then when I come back change to something else for a few episodes. Is that what you mean? Cuz I have a lot of shows I'm watching like this.

I don't know if I "binge" any. I have a few shows I like to watch weekly: Whatever 90 Day Fiance is on, America's Got Talent (just a summer thing), 1-3 HGTV shows depending on the time of year, and usually 2 dramas during "network" tv season.

I binged SkyMed on Paramount+ this summer and am caught up. Also, whatever Star Trek is new.

Yes this is what I mean, as long as you do go back and finish watching whatever you step away from.  Like, how many shows have you started and intend to finish but alternate between?

We don't "binge" per se, because we only watch 1 episode at a time each night, but once we start a show we keep watching all seasons until we are done, unless we *really* hate it or are super bored by it. I can only think of a handful of shows we've abandoned, and most of them we actually want to try again, because it was life, not disinterest, that got in the way.

But honestly we have a very ridiculous/complex schedule that probably only makes sense to us.

Monday, Tuesday, and most Thursdays - 1 or 2 different hour long shows, and possibly a half hour show, depending on how early/late we get started.

Wednesday - an hour long show we watch exclusively with friends (usually from a streaming service we don't subscribe to).

Friday - afternoons a random comedy (currently Sex Education, previously Derry Girls) and terrible movie night.

Saturday - mornings, my H watches dumbshit adult animation from Fox or Netflix and good movie night.

Sunday - mornings/afternoons, nostalgia re-watches (currently Northern Exposure); evenings, currently John Oliver, and House of the Dragon (only me, my H hates everything GoT), otherwise, same as Mon/Tue/Thu.

So I guess that's about 8-10 shows?
