I need a dishwasher safe lightweight water bottle that can handle being dropped occasionally. Ideally something that offers replacement parts. No straw.
My teen and I both use this contigo water bottle www.gocontigo.com/water-bottles/jackson-2.0-tritan-water-bottle-with-autopop-lid-24-oz/SAP_2142342.html Neither of us can manage to avoid dropping them from time to time, but just the lids break and they don’t make replacement lids. I like this one because it can entirely go in the dishwasher and the parts are straightforward, no weird nooks and crannies to clean. But I’m tired of having lidless bottles.

I love Contigo auto seal, we have 4-5 of them. I drop mine all the time and the lids have never broken the way that auto pop ones do. I can’t remember if the top can go in the dishwasher though, I hand wash it.
They are my go-to for exercise/activity water bottles that go outside, to the gym and/or school. They're BPA-free plastic, reasonably insulated (not as much as a double-walled metal water bottle), light, straw-free, dishwater safe and they're a soft plastic so you could drop them all the time and they're fine. I've ordered replacement lids several times because I like their old pop-top better than the new model.
I use my Yeti or Starbucks straw cups for water around the house, but I have used Polars for years. They're also inexpensive enough that I am only mildly irritated when they inevitably go missing.

Kleen Kanteen.
We have been using them for 15+ years. They arent a fad of the moment, they'll be around to get replacements. You can buy all the lids separately. Multiple lid options. Insulated or non insulated.

I also have a yeti and they are SO heavy. We recently went on a big hiking trip and I weighed all our SS insulated water bottles (when empty). There were huge differences and the yeti was the heaviest. I keep it sitting on my desk at work so its fine for that but i wouldnt want to haul it around all the time.
