HCOL. I have not had highlights in the USA in years cause it is basically the price of a mortgage I get them done in every other country while I am traveling.
I do root touchup here which is $60 and trim is $40

I got mine done yesterday. They always consider mine a partial highlight (which is wild to me because it feels like lots of highlights) and a haircut. She charged me $80. I had long hair and I'd now consider it medium. We live in a LCOL area. Even in a LCOL they are insanely inexpensive and I'm never leaving them.

For a full balayage highlight, root smudge and toner (included with highlight service) with a haircut it would be $350. I usually just get a partial highlight and pay $280
My hair is just at my shoulders now (but was quite a few inches longer for the past 3-4 years and I paid the same price)
I was just looking online at this since I'm trying to find a new stylist, and she has $350+ on her website for a highlight. A haircut by itself is $65.
I also recently went to a popular salon and paid $275 just for a cut and blowout from their "master stylist". No color. The cut wasn't what I asked for and I hated the blowout.
MCOL Pixie bob hair length; I have really thick hair.
Haircut: $30
With highlights/balayage: $120(ish)
I'm getting my haircut and highlights touch up today so I'll update with actual price.
ETA: It was $170 without tip.
ETA: I hemmed & hawed about getting a pixie/pixie bob haircut for 10 freaking years before taking the leap a year ago and I LOVE it! I'm sad I waited so long and don't see myself going any longer in the near future.

Shoulder length here, my last cut and highlights (incl. toner/gloss) was 220 including tip. The price just went up (a lot!) and we got a notification from the salon beforehand.

I need ham like water Like breath, like rain I need ham like mercy From Heaven's gate Sometimes ham salad or casserole or ham that’s free range, all natural I need ham
That seems like a lot to me. I get cut, partial highlight, gloss and blow dry and it's $225+tip. I've been going to my guy for almost 16 years so if he raised his prices I'd probably just pay it because he is amazing, but his prices haven't gone up since way before Covid. I also only have to get highlights every 4 months or so because my hair is dark blond and it all just blends as it grows. I get a glaze in the visits between and they are not expensive, so I get a lot out of the highlights.
eta: ohhhh, full highlights would be more because it's twice the work and product. I'm not sure how much that would be, I've only ever gotten partial.
