It's weird. I definitely overdid it today...and I slept weirdly on my shoulder last night, so I'm having a little tingling in my hand. Last week the PA said everything looked good. I'm thinking this is from doing a wee bit too much. I see the surgeon tomorrow, so I'll ask her about it. Other than that the hand is still sore. I wish I had 4-5 months in between but with no job, I need to have it done now with insurance and OOP cost being $0.
Fri - walked 2 mi Sat - walked 4.5 mi on the trail near my dad’s. So grateful for that spot, it has helped keep me sane during all of this! The first batch of leaves are falling off some type of tree and they look like heart shaped confetti. Sun - probably walked about 1.5 mi over the two stops while I waited for my car to charge coming home
My run actually felt nice! I am not sure if it was the weather (60/70 instead of 80) or that I skipped breakfast, but I finally got through a long run without nausea! I’m going to guess it’s the weather.
I spent the weekend on the outer Cape with friends and didn't fit in any H&F. I woke up to run 12.5 miles before work this morning and it was a bit painful (glad I did it though!).
Friday - went for a brisk walk, jogged for 2 min just to see how it felt (I had covid last week...was testing my recovery since I'd gotten really dizzy on thursday trying to walk around the block) Saturday - obsessively hydrated Sunday - Annapolis 10 mile race. Finished! Woo!
I had been hoping to put a bit more "race" in my race on sunday, but since I was just barely squeaking it in after getting covid, I'm just happy to have finished under the cut-off.
Sun was our first full day of vacation, which I kicked off with a 10 mile run. Thank goodness this was a long run step back week, because it was tough. Hotter than I've gotten used to, full sun, I was tired so I left a tad later than I usually would, etc. But I survived.
The surgery was yesterday. My hand is so swollen I can't see my knuckles. It's rather amusing! It hurts more than the right hand for some reason. Let's just say that I didn't take just tylenol last night surgeon prescribed). At least I know by Day 10 things will be markedly better.....
