I took a day of PTO today to read all day, and it was bliss! I finished Hunted by Abir Mukherjee, I Hope This Finds You Well by Natalie Sue, and The Bookwanderers (middle grade) by Anna James.
QOTW: Just a hair appointment and a friend’s birthday party. I’m excited for lots of relaxing!
I went back to a reread of The Starless Sea — I’m enjoying its floaty, all-over-the-place style this week. None of my more exciting holds came in this week, sadly.
QOTW: Driving for a small family thing today, but just relaxing the rest of the weekend. I definitely am glad to have that extra day right now!
I read Glass Houses by Madeline Ashby. I wasn't sure what to think about this book most of the way through but I ended up liking it. It went in a direction I wasn't expecting but that I enjoyed.
QOTW: I'm in CT for family stuff unrelated to the holiday weekend. The weather is gorgeous and really reminds me of the summers we had when I was growing up here.

Started listening to Master, Slave, Husband, Wife about William and Ellen Craft who escaped enslavement by posing as a white man (Ellen) and his slave (William).
QOTW: Do you have any plans for the long weekend? We're going apple picking tomorrow and then my youngest was nominated for a theater award, so we've got the award ceremony tomorrow night.
I read American Fire by Monica Hesse over the long weekend. Looking back it was a pretty boring crime and boring criminals so I'm not sure why I found it so easy to read. I gave it 3"
