Friday: Wandered around Costco Sat.: Ebike Sunday: Ebike Monday: Make a wild guess! Ebike
BQ: Overall a quiet weekend. I slept 3 hours on Sat. afternoon and nearly 2 on Sunday. I was tired. Next up is another nap before a massage. I had my left hand carpal tunnel surgery last Monday, and I think my body needed the sleep. (Right hand was done earlier in August. I can HIGHLY recommend getting them done a few months apart-not 3 weeks apart.)

Fri: rest/travel Sat:3 mile run, 30 min strength Sun: 60 min HIIT workout Mind: 4.5 mile run
Bq: nada. Rested up after an exhausting week of work travel and got some good exercise in. It was amazing and boring and indulgent and just what I needed.
Fri - one of those days where I wore a sports bra the entire day with good intentions that never materialized Sat - 2.5 mi family hike I made them go on, none of them wanted to Sun - gym bike for an hour and a tiny bit of lifting Mon - yoga
Today I drove back to Ohio yet again to take my dad to his CT scan tomorrow. We should have a better idea tomorrow of lesion size and spread. His wife said some unforgivable shit to my sister this weekend so I’m staying offsite tonight since my stepmother thinks she’s got it all handled. I hope for his sake she’s right. I am so irritated at her ungrateful audacity, but trying to look at the bright side in that it’s actually kind of nice being alone for once.

minzy, I’m so sorry. Dealing with agin parents is so tough. I’m glad you were able to get a hike in with your family and have some time by yourself tonight.
Fri: 45 min strength Sat: 20 mile outdoor bike Sun: 30 min Peloton cycle and 15ish minutes running Mon: 3 mile run + 30 min strength + 10 mile family bike ride
BQ: We usually go to the family lake cabin Labor Day weekend, but stayed home this year. I missed being there, but it was nice to not sit in traffic and get stuff done around the house.
F: 5 mile run S: 13 mile run S: 30 min peloton M: 5 mile run
BQ: We spent a lot of time at the pool and grilled this weekend. It was HOT. I also took DS to see Despicable Me 4. He was laughing so hard, it was very cute.
Sat: 7 mile run (okay and walk too...it was really warm and humid) Sun: off Mon: 5k with kid #1
BQ: Kid #1 had a soccer tournament here in town so the weekend started out with that. We were able to add a soccer team GTG after the final on Sunday, dinner at my parents' Sunday night, and dinner/swimming at my ILs last night. Busy weekend for sure!
Fri/Sat/Mon were rest days. Sun I ran a 7 mile race as part of my 15 mile long run. 2.5 miles from the house to the start, 3 extra miles circulating around the start area, 7 mile race, and 2.5 mile commute back home afterward. I won't lie, it was hard. It was mostly cloudy, but the sun came out during mile 5-6 of the race, at a time when I was running with the wind, and I got really hot. I had to slow it down to let my HR drop down out of the 170s. 10-11 miles into a 15 mi long run isn't the time for that. I finished the whole 15, with a "not my fastest, but not my slowest" time in the race (which I do annually), and I ran every mile of my training plan on vacation: 43.79 miles out of 43 planned miles over 10 or 11 days. MCM week 10 is successfully in the books!
Friday - Ran 4 Saturday - Ran 7.5. Struggled with HR on this one. I usually do my long runs in zone 2 (with some wiggle into 3 in the back half) and it just was.not.an.option. Even taking a long walk breaks it wasn't dropping into my normal range. Sunday - open water swim 1500ish (my GPS did some zigzagging and gave me some bonus yards in there), little bit of paddleboarding Monday - gloriously nothing at all. Well...hauling on some lines sailing.
We spent the long weekend on our little sailboat. it was a delight. paddleboarded to shore for our run on saturday. swam from the boat with my son on a paddleboard as escort on Sunday. Then monday had an fantastic sail back to home port, and then went home, took a nap, did some laundry and chores and was a lazy ass for the rest of the evening. A delightful weekend. Minus the parts where I had a minor catastrophe dropping the anchor and tried to take off my own leg (just an ugly rope burn, could have been much worse) and then absolutely fucked it docking and took a chip out of the gel coat on the stern and dented a piling. (again...could have been much worse...) Everything in between those bits was great though.
wawa If your HR is high and won't come down, it might be that you aren't recovered from your workouts earlier in the week. Be sure to take a rest day. I know I'm bad about it, but Friday is always off for me.
