I got a text from XH last night that said something like "I was on my home from work and I really had to go to the bathroom and I didn't think I would make it home, so I stopped at your place. Anyway, I used all your toilet paper so you should go get more." Like, excuse me Sir. Apparently C gave him the code to my back door. So that's a conversation for today. And I had literally 2.5 rolls of toilet paper left. What the hell was he doing in there?
Um. Hell no. Change that code asap!
Funny XH bathroom story, my XH would do his visitation with the kids in my courtyard during Covid times. He needed to use the restroom so I let him use the kid’s bathroom. He plugged up the toilet so bad that a plumber had to come! I have not let him use the bathroom again 😂

I started a 9/80 schedule this week. Yesterday I worked 8-5 (I don’t take a lunch) and hated getting home after 5. Today I got to work at 7:15 and was greeted with breakfast burritos! Getting in early paid off!
I am getting a bite guard, so I had do get impressions at the dentist today. I gagged so badly I almost threw up - why have I never grown out of gagging at the dentist? Lol. Also the last time I got impressions was 30 years ago and I'm a little bummed that the method has really not changed at all in all those years.
The house I lived in 20 years ago in college is on the market and my friend sent me the listing. They have done some updates, but man that was a blast from the past. So many memories of friends and my (decreased) dog as a puppy living there. It's also the house I lived in when I met my XH. It was selling for about the same price as my current house, which is INSANE since it's in a fairly remote college town that does not have the access to jobs (or airports, culture, shopping, etc) that I have here. It is a beautiful place but that's about all that's going for it, so I can't believe people will pay that much for it. Must be remote workers or investors buying it, which is sad.
She failed to ask anyone to take her to school early. She wakes me up 15 mins before she needs to be at school. She asked “are you ready to take me to school?” I respond “does it look like I’m ready? I’m sleeping.” Now her world is ruined and I’m rude.
I swear I love her and I would absolutely cry when she is gone to college, but today…. I was ready to pack her up and ship her out
I identify with this strongly! Wild swings from "this is the best" to "please move out".
Today the teen is driving the dog to the groomer and picking her up, so i dont have to rearrange my whole work day. So today he is the best!

In an hour and a half I have a job interview, for a job I really want, that I jumped through eleventy billion hoops to be eligible for. Send me alllll the good job juju, ML!
I'm getting headshots done today with professional hair and makeup. My company is paying for it so even better! They all had them done before I started and now that I've been here a year its time to have mine match the style theirs were done in.
wildrice - I had a visceral reaction to you mentioning impressions. 30 years later and I can still feel that fucking goo going down my throat :::shudder:::

It didn't go down my throat today at least! So maybe it is marginally better than 30 years ago lol. But it's basically the same material and it was messy and smelled bad. Yuck!

Dropped DS1 off at school this AM and immediately got a text across my dash display "Shoot, I forgot to change. I'm still in my pajamas." He sleeps in tshirts and shorts, but the shorts are baggy and not the style he normally wears. I have no idea how he forgot to change clothes. I literally cannot have something else on my AM to remember list. He'll hopefully notice tomorrow.

Calling 1-800-Junk to have them remove a TON of boxes and stuff from moving is well worth the ungodly amount of money I paid for it.
Also the pantry we ordered from Wayfair is coming AHEAD of schedule !!! This should alleviate alot of the kitchen storage problems and help organize things a bit more.

The orthodontist DS goes to does them via a super cool camera. They run this little scanner all along your teeth/gums and it creates an instant 3D image on the screen. It's all done digitally. His expander, Invisalign and retainers were all done this way.

My ds ALMOST made it out the door without realizing he hadn't changed out of what he slept in a day last week. Luckily I saw him and was like, go change now, the bus is already coming! and he still made it. He gets back in bed after coming down to take meds and get his phone and I was like, no, you need to set a new alarm for yourself to actually get ready from now on.

I see kids walking in that school daily who look like they rolled out of bed. Saw a girl today walking in with a cheeseburger backpack...not a print...it was shaped and made to look like an actual cheeseburger. I just told him teenagers are all focused on themselves and that unless he had teddy bears printed all over his shirt and shorts that no one would notice.
LOL my 7th grader, who is notoriously not a morning person, has intentionally slept in her school clothes for the first two days of school.
This is the first year that she is on the middle school schedule, and we have been nervous about both kids needing the bathroom at the same time in the morning. We expected DD to take longer so we're making her get up at 6. But since she's already dressed and doesn't like breakfast, she's been ready by 6:15 both days so far.
Yeah, DS, 11 now, has slept in his school clothes for the last three years. His sleepwear and day time clothes were indistinguishable anyway, so he puts on clean athletic shorts or joggers and a t-shirt after he showers at night and just wears them to school the next day. Morning timing can be tight for us, so I'm all for it.

After spending hundreds of dollars on testing for why my dog has skin issues, we still have no answers. I am seriously thinking about just switching him to real food to see if his skin improves.

Her reaction was irrational. She couldn’t understand how waking me up and me being confused wasn’t rude.
She is back to loving me. She sent me a link for her her homecoming desss and asked me to order it 🙄. Girl… go to class and get off your phone. I don’t have time for this .
One of my 7th graders is so unorganized it kills me! I pick her up from school every Friday and drop her at dance. Last week she called me when I was long gone to say she forgot her dance clothes. I even asked her that morning if she had them packed in her dance bag and she said yes. She wants to buy a leo and tights at the studio store and I was like no way! I'm not spending $70 because you were irresponsible. Just dance in the clothes your wore to school which is what she did! I had to drive football carpool for DS so I didn't have time to bring her dance clothes to her plus the studio is a good 30 min from our house.

My dentist did this the last time I got a crown and it was amazing! They didn't even have to file down the crown like they have had to in the past!
At my dad’s old house, now my house/studio there is a paved space in front of the shed on the far edge of the property where my dad would park his car. I’m selling his car hopefully in the next week or so.
He parked there instead of closer to the house because random people would make u-turns there instead of at the end of the dead end street and cars have almost taken out the shed (and crushed the garbage cans, hit the mailbox etc) multiple times.
There is a huge area to turn around in at the end of the street a few houses down so no real reason for people to use this space.
Since we don’t live there, I’d like to block it off so no accident occurs when we aren’t there.
I’m not sure how. A friend suggested a plant/small tree in a pot but it would have to be cold hardy. I can’t add any cement or permanent structures to the area due to environmental protections. I’d rather something cuter than just cones which I think would just be knocked into anyway.
tacokick , in your case I would look into some sort of planter with fake plants. Keep it light, in case you do want to move it, but also creates a screen.
I had a flat tire last week but with the age of my tires and the fact I have AWD, I had to get 4 new ones. They had to be ordered so I borrowed a car for the week and made an appointment for today. I left work, switched back to my Subaru, and made it to the appointment. Checked in, walked next door for food, and before my fast-food mobile order was ready, I got a call that another customer hit my car. It was very minor (dude didn’t even know he hit it) and the tire guys stalled him until I could look. The scuffs wiped off and I said no worries because I swear shit like this happens to me regularly. I had to go back to the restaurant to claim my ice cream. Felt like an idiot—but I had to run. My blood pressure is stabilizing now.

Our dog has skin issues. He's on a daily dose of Apoquel (which has been AMAZING), but we did switch to real food just do half a pill a day. A lot of dogs have chicken allergies so we avoid and use ground turkey, ground beef, and salmon. We mix it with brown rice, lentils or oats and then some veggies (shredded carrots or zucchini or peas), eggs (with the shells), and sometimes some beef livers and parsley. We had bloodwork done before we switched and since and everything looks good, we will be keeping with it. He used to get ugly sores between his toes and regular ear infections and hasn't gotten them since we switched. All of this to say, switching to real food has helped my dog with severe skin issues.
tacokick Can you mix concrete & water into a tall Home Depot bucket? It’s not permanent. It’s heavy enough to stay put in cold weather but you can probably move it. You could even stick a poll in with a “No Turning” sign. You could set up 2 or 3 of them in the driveway.
Or put the bucket with concrete into something prettier if you want it to be decorative.
Do you need access to the driveway from the street ? If you have money to spend, drop 2 posts in the ground and attach a one panel fence across the driveway.

Ugh I'm gagging at the dental molds as well. My dentist takes x-rays proooobably a little more than he should (sometimes every 6 mo) and that's bad enough. I'm disappointed dentistry hasn't found a less gross way to get a mold of teeth, at least that is cost effective.
My DH went to see a pain specialist today for a long on-going shoulder/arm/back issue. He was upset he had to wait a few months after an MRI, although that's the way it always goes...Anyway, he came home kind of upset that the doctor basically put it back on DH to reach out if the pain gets "really bad" so they can put in for PT. For now do some stuff at home, just keep up with it every day. I should have bit my tounge, but I told him that he's being treated like a female presenting patient. I think he got mad at me like I didn't care about his issues, but like dood, you've seen it with my own health. Just be glad that you can't use an IUD, because they'd probably tell you to get one for the shoulder pain.
Anyway I'm glad at least for now he's (we) not looking at surgery, recovery, time out of work etc. We really need things to pause and get better for a bit.
My kids left the stand-alone (full!) freezer in the garage open last night. Again. And, I didn't notice until a few minutes ago. This is the 4th time in 4 years. So much waste.
