Does anyone have this issue with the app where it randomly brings you back up to the top of the thread after you’ve been scrolling through it? It’s driving me nuts!
My poor H got a flat tire on the side of interstate 95 yesterday about 3:45pm. We have roadside assistance through our insurance, so he called them right away. Tell me why it took until 8:15 for someone to finally come? They ended up dispatching 3 different companies for some stupid reason. They needed to tow him off the road to be able to safely change it, which I think was part of the holdup. I was so worried someone was going to run into him being on the side of that road for that long. I went ahead and bought a AAA membership because waiting 4.5 hours is just ridiculous and it seemed like a lot of the holdup was due to miscommunications between our insurance (Geico) and the companies they contract through. I hope AAA is better.
I’m surprised that no one has mentioned this (that I saw), but for future (not that this will likely ever happen to you again lol) you can call the police and they will come stay with you? Make a blockade around the car? Something along these lines. It’s so dangerous to be sitting in the side of the highway-glad everything is ok.

Yes, well, on the mobile site. And it does it when I’m in the reply window too. The page refreshes. I think it has to do with the ads refreshing.
I am the PTA president of my kid's middle school this year. I have been on the board at the elementary school for years but never president. Tonight is my first meeting and I am nervous! I hate having to do the procedure nonsense. Wish me luck!
Good luck! I’m certain it’ll go better than my lead did.
I was VP of our PTA in 2020 when everything shut down. The first (and only) meeting that I led was via Zoom and we had spam/hackers get in. They hijacked my account and every time I typed, it filled the chat with obscenities. The principal was in the meeting and my (impersonated) account told him to “Eat a dick.” I could not stop laughing, which only made it more mortifying.
Thank god shutting down/restarting Zoom fixed it, but OMG.

I hope this is true elsewhere, but having gotten a flat tire on 295 in Maryland (where there is no shoulder at all) at 3AM, as I was lying basically in the road changing my tire, a cop pulled up behind me, told me I should have moved over more, then drove away. So, yeah.

I was going to say the same thing. When I was broken down at midnight with the dead battery on the highway, a cop stopped. He yelled at me for waiting inside my car instead of outside of it because it was dangerous if it got hit by a car and then left. It was freezing and I was scared and he told me to sit in the grass next to the guardrail, which really doesn't seem much safer to me.
