That’s the most “we’re pretty certain it’s nothing but let’s just make sure” report I think I’ve ever seen, but I know it’s scary to have to go on and have a biopsy. Have you talked to your doctor yet or is this just what your online chart says? Hopefully your doctor will have some reassuring words for you when she calls.
Speaking more practically, I’ve had an MRI biopsy before. It takes longer than an ultrasound guided kind because they have to wheel you in to the MRI for a few minutes, then out for setup, then back in, etc. but overall core needle biopsies are super minor. The waiting between appointments is the worst part, so I hope they can get you in soon.

Ha, that did make me laugh. I hope you are right! The NP called me yesterday because the Dr was out and she wanted to make sure she could put in the order right away. I forgot to ask when the Dr will come back.
I am calling to schedule this morning. I don't think it will take long to schedule since everything else has been fast, but I am torn on when to schedule it. DH is out town for a bit. I think I think I would rather have him here? But I also want to get it over with. So, not sure what I will do.
I keep telling myself it is problem nothing, but my mom died from cancer over something that was "probably nothing" so hard to shake that feeling of dread you know?
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus

Oh my gosh yes that’s totally understandable. I’m so sorry that happened and that would completely color this or any similar situation.
As far as your H being with you, it’s not necessary for any medical reason. I’ve had several biopsies and had my DH drive me to the first one because I didn’t know what it would be like. But after that I drove myself to the rest. You won’t need anyone to drive you home, and you probably won’t even be sore afterward. And of course he won’t be allowed into the MRI area with you. If you still prefer to have him there for support of course that’s totally fine, but I wouldn’t delay it for that reason.
ETA: Or have a girlfriend go with you. I’d totally do that for any of my friends.

I had my biopsy today, it was not a pleasant experience. Doctor and nurse were great but the biopsy spot was basically against my chest wall so numbing that was initially painful (and I could feel the needle going deep) and then I don't think they numbed everything enough because I felt the last two biopsy punches. Then was a shaky mess after (I guess from the epinephrine). The nurse told me to watch TV all day so that is the plan. I will get the results by the end of the week. Fingers crossed.

I’m so sorry it was so painful, what an ordeal. I’ll be thinking good thoughts for you this week that everything comes back clear and you can put this all in the rear view <3

I am sorry! I always flinched when they pressed the button. If you can ice it. The last one I had was on an awkward spot and they really had to maneuver to get the biopsy and the nurse told me to ice it several times that day. I actually left the center with ice packs stuffed in my bra...lol.

I was going to say the worst is over but I personally know how hard it is waiting on biopsy results. Sending you so many good thoughts that you'll get the all clear this week. ❤️ Big hugs.

I am so sorry it was painful.I had the same experience with my biopsy location so I can sympathize with the pain. My recovery was not bad, I rested for the day and took it easy for a week. I will be thinking of you as you wait for your results.

I feel like they should offer some other option for when its deep? But i guess the risk of other methods of anesthesia have more risk and are overkill? Just sucks

My surgical biopsy was shallow, but it was behind my areola and they knew the angle was bad for a needle biopsy. I think when it’s as deep as yours evidently was, it’s so much better to do a surgical option. I’m so sorry it was painful.

If I ever have another biopsy I will explore other pain relief options. It was really upsetting and I might be too anxious to get it done with 'regular' pain relief.

She did ask if I easily numb for dental work but I haven't really had much (once like 5 years ago) I will make sure to ask them next time. I know that I can't take motrin because of the bleeding risk. But yes, it was upsetting!
Plus no one told me that they would basically have to forcibly hold me to the bed because I couldn't help but move since it hurt. I mean she was very nice about it (like a hold massage) but I dont know. It just wasn't something I really thought about prior.

Thanks everyone! I got to say my heart rate sky rocketed when I got the email. Took a bit to calm down but I am very glad! My doctor wants me to make an appointment with a breast specialist to come up with a plan of action for my seemingly troublesome breast lol. I think she just wants to make sure I don't have to go through this every year.
