This sounds like an example of under treating women’s pain. I’m sorry
Yeah, I am not sure what the deal is. A lot of people told me they had no pain during their biopsy, so it may just be the way my body reacts to numbing agent and the fact that it was deep? Needless to say I was not prepared mentally!
Thanks everyone! I got to say my heart rate sky rocketed when I got the email. Took a bit to calm down but I am very glad! My doctor wants me to make an appointment with a breast specialist to come up with a plan of action for my seemingly troublesome breast lol. I think she just wants to make sure I don't have to go through this every year.
My dr had me do the same thing and I meet with my breast specialist once a year. Just to not freak you out, the breast specialist in my area is an oncologist. I don’t know if it will be the same on your area, but it made me a little anxious the first appointment seeing “oncologist” and not “breast specialist”
Fuck yes! I have a bunch of those too. I have been told repeatedly there is zero chance those ever become anything. Hooray!
Do you have to get the biopsied each time?
The way they described it to me is that each time they do imaging, they’re looking for changes from last time. Since this spot has been cleared, if everything looks the same next time, you’re good to go. But if there’s anything new detected (or sometimes if something existing has changed), then they’ll look at it further.
