Dear boss, Last week, the three other directors who are on the senior leadership team with me were promoted to VP. We've never had VPs before, so this wasn't something I ever expected as a road map option for someone at my level. I kind of assumed I'd maxed out and was fine with it. I realize this is essentially just a title change but... I want it to! I want to be a VP! These promotions didn't line up with the annual reviews of these people, so now I'm feeling super anxious that I'm doing something wrong and not working hard enough if I wasn't lumped into the promotions also. So now I need to work up the nerve to talk to you about it and figure out how I can get on track for this promotion also. Signed, A really good employee!
Dear doctor, I think I have to finally break down and make an appointment with you to figure out what's going on with my hand pain. Is it carpal tunnel? Arthritis? tendonitis? I'm dreading all the investigating and back and forth and trying to figure out what's causing it so I've been putting it off. But this pain is getting old and I want it fixed. Signed, Patient
Dear DH Why in the hell do you think you need to give out our personal auto insurance information to the people you hit with your work truck. Work truck=work insurance. You will be 44 in a month and you had to call me to ask how to deal with the work auto accident stuff that happened outside of your shop. Grow up and figure out how to be a functional adult. Not your mom, servant, personal assistant Angry Frustrated WIFE!
Dear Mr Rivers (LA/SS) I'm really frustrated that last year's teacher and SPED didn't do what they said they would do and inform you of DD's issues. She lost her IEP because she had As and were at grade level. She 100% didn't fix her issues she used technology and work arounds to get those As and be at or above grade level. You have a quiz on Friday where she has to place and spell the continents and oceans correctly. She has already spent over an hour practicing spelling of these odd ball words. I'm sorry I had to bring to light DD's struggles yesterday over parent square but the stress over this quiz and spelling is causing major anxiety in our house. Now that you know hopefully you and DD can work together to figure out a way to make her successful in your classes. LA/SS teacher who cares about spelling when SPED said no one does Me
Dear SPED and 7th grade LA/SS teacher WTF! How hard is it to put the note in DD's file like you said you were going to back in February. This is going to suck if I have to fight/explain DD's learning disability with every LA teacher between now and 12th grade because you took her IEP away because she was at grade level. Frustrated Mom who has a smart kid
Great job in your first week's of nursing school. You are killing it. So chill out and quit stressing. You've got this.
Love mom
Dear whoever,
Whose bright idea was it to have training till 5 Thursday and Friday. I have over an hour drive and have a lot to do and catch up on Fridays like timesheets and reports. Surely someone will give us a break and let out early. Will a potential hurricane help get me out of this. It's just rain by the time it gets to us, so probably no.
Signed, give me a break.
Ps I have a crazy weekend too which is not helping.
Why did you book us a concert on a Wednesday night? You know I am going to be totally dead going into work tomorrow, and I already took Monday off. Luckily I am caught up, but still.
Dear client retreat attendees, please grant me some grace as my speaking panel slot is right after a former VP of the United States. And understand that I cannot possibly be an expert on every global macro market topic that you can throw at me. Signed, not a chief economist

Dear ankles, I am officially embracing the taller socks that the youth say are cooler than no show socks. No more freezing in New England weather for you! Between this and the sneakers for everything trend, life is good! Signed, The management
Dear H, As much as I was dreading you being gone thus week -until you left, the girls and I are managing pretty well. We have plans and a good routine. So, now that you're wrapping up work early and returning home tonight instead of Friday night....well, it honestly puts a damper on things. Namely the house will be messier and I will not get to continue binge watching my WW1 documentaries without you making some lane comments. You're loving wife ...the one who is loving some quiet and independence this week

sdlaura, a former VP would be a tough act to follow! Good luck!
Dear coworker,
It was so nice to see you today at the office after over a year! You look great even if you don't love your post chemo hair. As much as we both hate going into the office and still talk via TEAMS messages and calls, it was nice to catch up in person.
Signed, Your mentee
Dear former coworker,
I always wondered what happened to you. Of course there were rumors about your workers comp injury claim, but I really didn't care because you were a POS lazy worker that yelled at me for no reason and I haven't forgotten that. You of course are a good talker and had my office mate convinced by your "woe as me" story about how poorly the government has treated you, but in reality you've been sitting at home and traveling the world for 8 years due to an injury I'm not even sure is real and now you get to retire in a couple weeks after spending two months back at work watching Youtube in my vacant office to pass your time.
Signed, Don't let the door hit you on your way out
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
Whelp, we ended up having to take DS to urgent care for his sprained ankle because the school wanted a doctor's note for gym class. DS didn't tell me this until about 5:30 despite me getting home at 4:30. DH ended up taking him at 6, which took almost 1.5 hours since they had to also X-ray it, so we ended up missing the concert.
On one hand, I feel bad because I should have taken him Tuesday for the doctor note. I thought he was improving and could maybe do gym class, and I knew it wasn't broken and was a sprain which the doctor confirmed. On the other hand, I know it is better for him not to have the gym teacher make him run, since he can't run on it. Then I feel bad because DH booked the tickets and it was supposed to be a present for me. I need to stop feeling guilty about everything. We did the right parenting thing, but maybe not the best thing for us. I offered to take him this morning, but then would have to pull him out of school because school starts at 7:30 and urgent care doesn't open until 8 or 9 depending on the place. It didn't really make sense to have him miss school to get a note to say he can miss gym class. I wish the school nurse could excuse him since it was pretty obvious it was a sprain.
waverly, that sucks and 100% don't take DD to the doctor for every little injury. I still remember in 6th grade she got a giant quarter size rip on her hand and asked the PE teacher to sit out of basketball as it hurt. He was you can for today but need a doctor note for tomorrow. She ripped off the bandage and showed him her hand and said the doctor can't do nothing about this whole in my hand and I just need to baby it until the skin grows back. He sent her to the nurse to get a new Band-Aid.
Congrats on your first shut out as a goalie! I’m sorry I missed it. Your dad said you were awesome and had a ton of saves!
Love, Proud Mom
PS. I think it’s hilarious that you yelled at your team until you were hoarse. Way to coach from goal, girl.
Dear Daughter’s School,
You have done a Facebook post for every middle school sport and upper school sport except middle school field hockey? WT actual F? My kid just put up a shut out against a really good team. How’s about you celebrate them a little?
