I'm not sure if this is customary or not. I set up a recurring dog walking for 2x a week and she seems great so far. She charges $20 to come for 30 minutes (and lives a 5 minute walk away). I'm not sure if I should get in the habit of tipping or not, or just do a bigger holiday tip like I do my cleaning lady.

I recently started using a dog walker from Rover and I haven't tipped. We've stopped using Rover and I just text her to schedule stuff and then Venmo her. I get a better rate since Rover isn't taking a cut. $25 for both dogs for a 30 min walk is a pretty good deal I think.

We do tip.
But I have no idea how much of the rover fee they get. This last time she left a business card so I’m thinking that’s a hint that we should just contact her directly - I am curious as to what she would charge then.
Anyway now she charges $20 and we tip $5 for a half hour walk. However we aren’t using her super regularly.
No. We had someone every single day last school year and I never tipped. I did give gifts/money for all holidays. Like I would do some cash and a nice chocolate bar at Halloween or whatever and a nicer thing at Christmas.
