Where are you guys buying leggings for your tweens/teens?
The girls wear woman's small-ish size. I used to be able to just go to Target and buy a million pairs of Cat and Jack kid leggings and make my life easy, but now that we're into women's/juniors sizing, I'm not sure where the best place to go is.
We've had some luck with some cheap Walmart ones, but I'd like to go a step above that since it's all they wear every single day. They refuse to wear jeans or anything else.
I don't want to have to spend a ton per pair, since I'm responsible for buying clothes to stock 2 kids at 2 houses (I send clothes to exH's house) so it can add up quickly.
Both of my kids now refuse to wear leggings, so this is reaching a little...
Lands End leggings are really comfortable and they have reinforced knees, which was always helpful for DD2. Their kids sizes are also very large and the go up to around size 18. The women's leggings are fine. I have a few pairs and they faded a lot after only 1-2 washes, but otherwise are comfy and held up well.
My kids also love Athleta, but you really need to look for sales. I love my 2 pairs of Athleta leggings that I got on super sale LOL.
Old Navy never worked for us. I think they're fine for very slender kids, but my kids are definitely more athletically built, so they really don't fit well.
Maybe Kohls has some good options?
If they like athletic options vs the more cottony ones, I got DD2 a pair of Puma leggings for soccer. Again, won't wear them, but I liked them and they weren't too expensive. Under Armour sometimes has good options in the outlet section of the site, and Rakuten as 10% back right now.
We have good luck at Old Navy. And if you are willing to dig, dd has several athletc pairs from TJ MAXX. She has some really soft ones she loves from Aerie.
DD had lots of luck for the athletic style ones at JcPenny when she was 5th/6th grade. They carried XXS and XS in the junior section.
My sister does the Zyia active wear MLM and DD loves their leggings as they come in sizes and inseams so she can do a Zero with a 28 inseam to cover her long legs.
Old Navy never worked for us. Target active leggings were hit or miss. TjMaxx or Ross if you have the time and patience to sort through for the name brand ones is always great. The Nike Pro are popular at the gym. Dicks DSG brand hold up well and you look online you can find them on clearance.
If they're already wearing a women's small.. I wear these from Costco and they are my fav. www.costco.com/felina-ladies'-velvety-soft-legging%2c-2-pack.product.4000246552.html

Thanks all!
I hadn't considered Land's End, that might be a good place to check. The Old Navy ones don't seem like the best quality for the price given what I can get at Walmart for $5.
k3am I love those flare style! I think DD2 might try them, but DD1 is so weird about pants being "too baggy" and is very particular due to some sensory stuff.
DD mostly wears shorts, even in winter, but she has leggings from Lululemon (luckily we know someone who works there so got a discount), Athleta, and Old Navy.

DD1 mostly wears leggings just for her (in school) dance class and has worn Healthyoga women’s high waist yoga pants off Amazon for two years. Like she’s been wearing the same 2 pairs 3-4 times a week without issue. Granted, she mostly changes in/out of them, she doesn’t always wear them all day. But either way they have lasted. She wears a small. I would say she’s a women’s 4 with wide hips and round butt relative to the rest of her. They fit her really well without being too tight or stretching to thin on the hips/butt, fabric is thick enough that if she want to wear them as pants instead of just over her leotard she can, and they have pockets.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
twinmomma the baggy style is *in* in DD’s friend group, and these flares don’t even come close to seeming baggy. Some of the stuff she wears makes me think she was meant to be born in the 80’s…
