Ankle pants - pull on, no tab waist

I love Banana Republic’s Sloan ankle pant. I would buy them in every color but I HATE the waist. It’s a tab closure and it pops out so it creates a bump in whatever shirt I have on. There’s no way to really flatten it. I know ankle pants have been recommended here a lot, does anyone have a rec for ones that pull on or have a flat closure?

I just ordered these based on a rec here and there was no difference in the inseam despite it being labeled Reg or Tall. I measured.

I love Alfani woman's pants.

I get them at Macys and have all of the colors. I’ve also have most of the colors in all of the sizes 8-14 in my closet (due to my weight fluctuations). They look terrific in all the sizes. I tend to gain/loose at my waist, so tummy control & no muffin top is highly valuable. I tried to get a link but I couldn’t copy it correctly. When I looked, I could see it on Amazon, too.

It is a straight leg to the ankle, pull on, tummy control. Nice stretch in the leg while walking or sitting. Very flattering for everyday wearing. Good for all seasons. Sometimes I get tall for extra length but not always. They also come in petite. They pair marvelously with any kind of work shirt or top.


If you are nearby a Macys, I would absolutely recommend you go in-store to try on some color/sizes. This is the pants but the photo is weird, it’s always a smooth leg (I have no idea what’s going on with the wrinkles on the model)

My favorites are from Costco. Hilary Radner, I think is the brand. They are really cute. I also have a pair of Nic and Zoe that I love.

The Costco kind are really similar to the Banana republic pants you like, except they don’t have any tab / zipper and they are stretchier (the stretch waistband allows them to have no closures). I’m short though, so they might not work if you are tall. I’ve been an 6-8P in BR / M in Costco or 10-12P in BR and L in Costco.
