I’ve been traveling so much for so long that I keep forgetting what time zone I’m in. Starting the day in eastern and ending it in mountain today! Friday waking up in mountain and ending in good old central in my own bed.
Dear DS, Good luck with your wheat allergy challenge today! You've already outgrown egg, dairy is low enough on the allergy tests that we can try adding it in slowly at home, and now wheat seems to be ready to be checked off too. The doctors know what they're talking about and mom and dad have your best interests at heart. So stop whining about how you're going to fail and you know you won't feel good and being such a debbie downer about it! I hope the doctor is able to nip that in the bud ASAP during the appointment so you can come home and eat real bread. Your mind is going to be blown! Love, Step mom
Dear self, You need to switch your meds again. Lexapro is not cutting it the way that prozac did and you know it. Prozac messed with your sleep but there are options for dealing with that. Lexapro is just making you gain weight and not feel any better mentally. Message your doctor and stop slogging through unnecessarily. This is self care! Signed, Me
Dear boss, I love the culture you helped create in our work place. I love how you ask me if I want you to wear your mom, boss or friend hat when we meet. You took a major promotion this spring. My college, "Greg" (mentioned in previous posts) got promoted to your role. I was disappointed when I did not get the promotion, but understand.... That being said, our department has become the Boss and Greg show over the past few weeks. The other person in my role and I are not happy with the direction, or lack there of, that our group is taking. We will be asking for a serious meeting today. We are here to support you and Greg, but need to be utilized appropriately. My snarky side wants to tell you I did not earn two masters degrees in our field to make excel spreadsheets look nice, because that's the gist of what I've been doing lately. Love, Your worker who is dedicated to you and our real work
twinmomma, sending you and your soon good vibes. I take 50mg of Zoloft daily. It's more antianxiety than an antidepressant. PM me if you'd ever like to discuss meds.
I appreciate that you want to learn and do more. But since you told me you are looking for another job, I know it is just to pad your resume. Also, I don't appreciate you asking me everything that I do in one department and then trying to take the tasks. It's kind of weird, and I took this task for a reason because I manage the other part of the task, so IDK.
I mean, I guess I could train you, but since you said you are leaving (if you get a job) in January, then I don't know why I would train you for you to maybe do it, since you will only be here 3 more months. You just aren't making the best case for yourself to take on tasks and then leave. I do appreciate the honesty though. It just puts a damper on me assisting you in "growing" if I know the only reason you want to grow is to market yourself to leave. You also decided not to apply for a similar job in my department for more hours, so it is weird you have a huge interest now in the position you passed up before. I get life situations change, but maybe showing interest the whole time would come across as more authentic.
Dear Dietician I was really impressed with you yesterday. You researched DD allergy and her sport. I'm really looking forward to your email later this week with meal plans, brand suggestions, and breakdown lists. I just don't know how you expect DD to go from maybe 20 grams of protein to 70+ grams of protein in a day. Hopeful mom
Dear School You are having major tech/human attendance issues. I call out DD and you send me an email saying she missed 6 out of 7 classes for the day. DD is constantly missing a class and when I question her she says no I said here when XYZ called my name. Annoyed parent who keeps having to deal with attendance issues 4 attendance issues in 4 days is too much especially when I've called in or checked her out Me
twinmomma, good luck. We would love to eat normal bread whenever we want.

186momx, I'm so jealous that he will get to experience real bread with everyone else in the house. I've got celiac, so still all gluten free for me. Womp womp.

DS,
You said you'll try to be brave and get your flu shot after I get my covid shot on Friday. I hope it goes really smoothly and it's NBD for you. Either way we'll go get frozen yogurt after to celebrate.
