I hate these generational battles and I’m convinced Canva just marketed better to Young Millennials and GenZ on social media. I have picked up that everyone calls it a Deck now (slide deck) not PowerPoint, no matter what software it was created in. You can also make it a .pdf and open it in a .pdf reader if you don’t want to be judged 😆 Just make sure you know how to get in and out of presentation mode and any links you have work properly.
I need ham like water Like breath, like rain I need ham like mercy From Heaven's gate Sometimes ham salad or casserole or ham that’s free range, all natural I need ham
PowerPoint is what is used in my work and we can't access/edit Google Docs or Canva Slides. As an individual contributor I can't just decide I want to use another software product and things like Google Docs are explicitly blocked in my organization. My pet peeve is when people send me a Google Docs link after I have repeatedly told then that Google Docs is blocked.
Apparently I’m so PowerPoint old that I thought Canva was something they just let kids use in school. I haven’t been in the corporate world in a while!
I work for a Fortune 200 global company and we use the full MS suite. And by full, I mean that I literally make changes to our billing system using Access.
BUT I just got a Copilot license today and I’m really excited to use it to make some cool Power Points!

Oh good! Glad to hear we are not the only people still using Access. 😂

But did they really? I'm an occasional Canva user and I pay for a Canva pro subscription at the office. It's unlike any program I've ever used before as a very casual computer user and I obviously mean that in a good way. Also it was easy to figure out.

I learned about canva from colleagues. As someone who hasn’t had much training in any computer stuff in along time no found it far more intuitive to use than anything I’ve done through Microsoft.
