Any recs for brands of sweatpants (just normal sweatpants) for a girl who is too tall for kid sizes, but slim? Dd is 13, about 4'11, and just realized she has outgrown ALL of her pants from last year. They are kid sized large, from Old Navy, Nike, and Target mostly. I know those all have XL, but I'm guessing those will be a lot baggier without adding much length, so I'm thinking I need to go to adult xs or xxs. I looked at AE and Aerie online because those have been her go-tos for shorts and tops lately, but all their sweatpants say 'baggy' or 'loose fit' and I just imagine those both not staying up if she can't tie them tight enough, or looking like she's swimming in material.
I did order some Old Navy XS petite, but wondering if anyone has any recs of where else to look. Nike are her favorite, but we'll have to make a trip out to the outlets if she wants those because I'm not paying $50 per pair to restock her whole wardrobe.
My 12 year old is 5’4 and super skinny (like 105 lbs when she’s bloated and about to start her period). We have had luck with some pants at Target in XL if they have an adjustable waist. (They add a decent amount of length.) But the best luck has been going to TJ Maxx or Marshall’s and letting her try stuff on. She’s pretty reliably a 0 in jeans. So she does S or XS in athletic pants including sweatpants. At those sizes there’s a ton of options at those clearance places!
AE XXS fit my older girls great when they needed adult length. If I'm remembering correctly, that translated into roughly a 10 in kids sizes for the waist?
We have had good luck with Hollister now that DS is nearing 6 feet but never expanding in the waist.
We used to buy his pants at GapKids. They had the internal belt (for the win!) up through middle school for him but he is just too tall now.
Here is a link to a pair of Women's sweatpants. If you check out their size guide you should be able to tell if her waist size would work, and then check out the length below that.
For our kid it is nice because we can get the thin waist pants/joggers from Hollister but add the length. They never have them in stock in his size at the actual store but we order online and usually pick up at the store (free) or if we've ordered enough we get free shipping.
He's been wearing Hollister for over 2 years now and it works well for him in the waist (and length). Stuff goes on sale a lot, but watch out for them to sell out prior to school starting, Christmas, etc.

My daughter is about 5’1 and about a 100 pounds. She lives in the old navy X-Large joggers for kids.
That's good to know. We tried Target kids XL today, and they were too big in the waist even with the drawstring. So were the adult XS. They were about the same length. But I ordered Old Navy in both sizes, so hopefully one of those will work.
Have you tried under armor? My daughter is young so I don't have experience with girls sizes but my tall skinny boys all fit UA pretty well. My 12 year old is at least 5'8 and can still wear their boys xl size. Adidas sometimes runs a little longer too
My dd is 4’11”, 80#. She can wear the smallest sizes at places like aerie, gilly hicks, AE, etc. Frankis by Francesca’s also fits her (size 12). She’s a 2 at Lululemon, so not even the smallest sizes, though we have to be picky about length. I was surprised at how much we’ve been able to find in non-kid stores.
Do you happen to know if the Hollister ones have a drawstring renna ? You can't see one, but it might be internal (description doesn't say though).
I can't tell either, I'm sorry! I went back and looked at about 50 review pictures and only ONE had a string in it. MANY of the people had the top band part rolled over one time, and they also said that it didn't roll right back (like some brands do, I guess).
I went to GapKids and looked at their sweatpants. They are NOT $50/pair. I also can't tell if there is a drawstring there (looks like no to me) but if you look at the size chart maybe she can still fit in them since she has the height that might work?

Ditto UA. They fit my super skinny, tall 7 year old really well, so maybe that brand runs longer overall.
