I read several that were recommended here. The House of Eve - 4* Fallen Grace, which was a short story wrap up of one of the characters in The House of Eve - 4* I Hope This Finds You Well - 2* The Heart's Invisible Furies - 5* I loved the writing in this book. And then I finished up The Girl From Silent Lake last night - 3*
Nothing amazing this month except one nonfiction book I really enjoyed — birds plus Antarctica, my two favorites of the few nonfiction topics I read.
Dominicana by Angie Cruz 4 First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston 3 Agony Hill by Sarah Stewart Taylor 3 Five-Star Stranger by Kat Tang 4 Death at the Sign of the Rook by Kate Atkinson 4 The God of the Woods by Liz Moore 4 The Last Cold Place by Naira de Gracia 5
I had high hopes that I would read a lot of great books this month since I read so many books by authors I have enjoyed in the past, but I was disappointed by those books for the most part.
4*
The Beantown Girls by Jane Healey (a little Hallmark like at times, but overall I enjoyed it)
Blood Hollow by William Kent Krueger
3*
Your Presence is Mandatory by Sasha Vasilyuk
2*
To The Bright Edge of the World by Eowyn Ivey (2.5*, It reminded me of The Snow Child, but I just could not get into this book).
Burn by Peter Heller (I had high hopes for this book, but was very disappointed)

My goal was to read more of my "backlist" books that have been on my TBR for a while. A little over a quarter of the books I've read have been these older ones.
