I finished 102 Minutes by Jim Dwyer. I am currently reading Shelterwood by Lisa Wingate. I wasn't expecting something that started off so dark.
QOTW: I usually read in bed, but I can read anywhere. I just don't like people talking right next to me because it makes it more difficult to concentrate.

Finished The Secret of Penryth Hall. It was a great transition into spooky season.
Started listening to Rouge which is a dark and modern fairytale centering on the beauty/youth industry. It's typical of Mona Awad- a little weird and surreal.
Started reading The Last Tale of the Flower Bride which also bases itself on fairytale tropes. A man marries a woman who refuses to talk about her past and makes him promise not to ask. Until they end up at her childhood home, and her secrets come to light.
QOTW: what kind of setting do you prefer for reading? Background noise, lots of activity, complete quiet, something in between? I like it quiet so I can focus on the words and images they create.
dearprudence I am interested to hear what you think about Last Tales.
I finished Red Shirts by John Scalzi. I've originally been listening to it on audio because Wil Wheaton does the narration but I never had/made time to listen to it. Finally finished the Kindle version and enjoyed it.
Now I am reading Forces of Nature by Jane Harper. It's good but I feel like there are too many subplots.
QOTW: I like quiet. At a minimum I just don't want people talking to me!
