1. Watch that show on Netflix with Kristen Bell bc I love her, eat unlimited amounts of chicken pad thai, open all the windows in every single room, go on a shopping spree alone, finish my book uninterrupted
2. Don't have one yet
3. Tigers and Lions
4. The breeze in trees and the start of fall colors
1. Take really long hike somewhere under the trees with lots of rocks and beautiful views. Read. Order delicious food. Sleep in a freshly laundered bed.
1. I had last weekend completely to myself (well and the dog). I mostly rotated between reading and deep cleaning/reorganizing things I have been wanting to get to for awhile.
2. I bought a sewing machine and table off fb marketplace and I’m loving it.
3. Detroit Lions and Tigers.
4. Tired dogs and the fact that we are fortunate enough that unexpected expenses (dishwasher currently not working) don’t cripple us financially.
1. Eat snacks instead of making proper meals, exist in silence. I'd read, putter at house projects, take a long bath, hike if the weather is nice.
2. I put myself on a shopping ban for the fall. I'm really happy with all the money I've saved so far!
3. Lots! At this exact moment - Buffalo Bills. At 1pm - Green Bay Packers. On Wednesday - Toronto Maple Leafs. Jays are out of the playoffs, but we'll watch baseball on and off through the World Series. My high school football team is doing really well right now, ranked 1st in state in their division so I've been following them from afar. I was looking at the roster yesterday and it's a flashback to my high school days because so many of the players are children of my classmates.
4. My husband. The more I meet other people's husbands the more thankful I am for mine.
1. Lounge in bed reading with coffee, go for a hike, sit on the porch, eat takeout and fancy snacks, watch a couple of movies. Maybe get around to painting and hanging wallpaper in my office.
2. Best purchase has been a JCF sweater blazer, perfect weight for those in between days. Also the C&B creepy black branch door wreath I got at the outlet.
3. Let's Go Mets!!
4. Honestly just grateful for the basics. Work is hard right now, DH has been OOT most of the fall for work with no end in sight so home has been a lot, but I'm trying to keep sight of the fact that we're comfortable, have power/water/food, and everyone is healthy.
1. What would you do if you have the ENTIRE weekend to yourself? Cross stitch, quilt, read and watch a bunch of rom coms and other stuff I want to watch. Eat takeout Thai.
2. What has been your best or favorite purchase this fall? I haven't bought it yet, but am very close- a new sewing machine.
3. Are you currently rooting for any sports teams? Which ones? Just my kids HS and club soccer teams. I've been frustrated by my college team in the last few weeks, so I'm going to focus on rooting for people I know instead of getting frustrated by the ones I don't, including the HS football team.
4. What are you most grateful for today? Beautiful weather. I know it's not normal to have such warm beautiful weather this time of year, but I can't help enjoying it
1. Finish watching Bridgerton, get the pumpkin cheesecake drink at the local bubble tea place, probably get taco bell because nachos sound really good right now. Sleep in the middle of the bed with all the pillows. Make cookie dough for dinner.
2. This was actually purchased during the spring, but I'm enjoying the more fall-ish perfume samples I included in my order from Lucky Scent (because I was planning ahead).
3. Go Seahawks!
4. That despite the "when it rains it pours" situations we've been getting hit with these past few weeks, we're actually fine. We can treat our cat for cancer, we can get a new microwave, we can replace my cracked retainer, and my husband's cracked windshield.
1. What would you do if you have the ENTIRE weekend to yourself?
I do this once or twice a year—rent an Airbnb by myself—it is the best! I go into town and buy all sorts of delicious food. I bring a few books and magazines and a notebook to write in. I go to the beach and go on hikes. I sleep in very late.
2. What has been your best or favorite purchase this fall?
I bought a new keychain that says, “Clear eyes, full heart, no fucks”
3. Are you currently rooting for any sports teams? Which ones?
I guess I’ll be rooting for the Celtics as always but I’m a fairly disengaged fan. I used to be super into Boston sports but it’s almost like we’ve won too much in the last two decades. The thrill isn’t gone but to me it’s less exciting than the old days.
4. What are you most grateful for today?
We ran our 18 year old car into the ground, and I’m grateful it was easy for us to go buy a new one this weekend. That wouldn’t always have been the case.
I’m grateful that both my kids are happy at the moment. That hasn’t always been the case, either.
I’m grateful for the amazing weather we’ve had for the past month and for all the dog walks I’ve taken on the beach. The ocean is very healing to my soul, and the dog just loves tearing around off leash.
1. Finish a couple books, go for a long hike with the dog followed by a breakfast burrito at my favorite dog friendly spot, go to the movies, starfish in the bed.
2. The record cabinet that my husband finally purchased at Room & Board after searching Facebook Marketplace for months for perfect midcentury modern piece.
3. I enjoy watching games once in a while, but don’t follow any teams.
4. I am grateful that my kids are generally happy and having a great year in school. I’m grateful that I’m being given new responsibilities at work. I’m grateful that we are doing fine financially and that I have a comfortable safe home to retreat to at the end of my very long days.
1. What would you do if you have the ENTIRE weekend to yourself?
Friday morning through Sunday night? I would still need to take care of weekend chores, but after I finished those I would park my butt in front of the TV and binge a show or watch a movie that H isn't into. I've been wanting to rewatch Supernatural from the beginning so probably that.
And if I got bored I would inventory all the things so I can stop buying things we don't need 😮💨
2. What has been your best or favorite purchase this fall?
I don't really shop... I'm very happy with the haircut I got yesterday ☺️ H paid for that though so maybe that doesn't count. Do groceries count? Because I'm pretty happy with this weekend's haul.
3. Are you currently rooting for any sports teams? Which ones?
Liverpool FC - always and forever. And the ATL Falcons aren't doing to bad this season. Wouldn't say I'm rooting for them, but they're fun to watch again.
4. What are you most grateful for today?
I gave the cats catnip today and (after about two hours off/on of babysitting) they are all currently sleeping it off. H is napping. I just got out of a very long shower, and for at least the next half hour no one/thing will "need" me.
And my haircut. I'm really grateful for my haircut. I took a chance and told her to do whatever she needs to do to get a certain look. Sometimes it's amazing what happens when I let go of the control 😌

I got my flu and COVID vaccines yesterday and they took me OUT. I am grateful for them because yay vaccines and I am grateful that although I NEVER nap because my body hates me, I was able to sleep for a couple of hours this afternoon.
2. Probably my yard sign. A got a childless dog lady one customized with my dog‘s picture
3. Not a team sports person. Though, by connections I need to say way to go Vandy!
4. That it looks like put basement bathroom will be mostly functional for our dog sitters stay, which starts Wednesday. Just need the paint to dry and the toilet installed.

4. What are you most grateful for today? I am grateful I had such a kind mom. I miss her, she passed away three years ago and was terribly sick and not herself for 14 years. Lewy body Parkinsons/dementia. So it's such a good reminder to treasure every day you have with your health. She had 60 good years. I'm 50 next week and I miss her every day.

Read, binge a show (Madam Secretary for the 3rd time is my current show), hang out with my sisters.

Time at the Farmer's Market this morning with my sister and the resulting purchase of dark chocolate bagels I get to look forward to eating tomorrow for lunch.
1. What would you do if you have the ENTIRE weekend to yourself? Long workouts, lots of walks, read on the lake beach if its nice, probably find a friend to go out for a drink or dinner with, binge watch comfort TV, get takeout or cook something H wouldn't like.
3. Are you currently rooting for any sports teams? Which ones? Not really into sports but I'll cheer for any of the Pittsburgh teams. Steelers, Pirates, Pitt (NOT PSU even though we have season tickets haha)
4. What are you most grateful for today? My sweet son. He was at my mom's for the weekend and I missed him a lot! Also grateful for my mom who loves watching DS and taking care of him. My MIL is great too, but my mom is just a caretaker at heart and makes DS feel really special.
