Friday: Off Saturday: Ebike Sunday: Cyclocross (sadly, no ebike. I suffered, too.)
It was hot as b*lls today. About 86-87F and full sun most of the day. We were hot even sitting under tents. I am ready for one race at 65 degrees...won't happen til late Nov.
F: nothing S: 20 mile run S: long walk to stretch out the sore muscles
It was a decent weekend for us weather-wise. During the early part of my 20 miler it was lightly raining and windy which wasn't ideal but I guess its good to prepare for all weather that could happen on race day! The rest of the weekend was delightfully sunny and in the 60s.
Would love some cooler weather, but marathon training is over so I guess it doesn’t matter that much. It’s also looking like it will be 60-70s for the marathon, which is not ideal. I guess it’s good that most of my training has been in temps at least 10 degrees warmer!
Today, I am just trying to keep it together. My absolutely beloved heart dog died early this morning, about 12 hours after first becoming ill, and I'm just bereft. I spent several hours last night/early morning sitting with her on the tile floor in the bathroom, which feels amazing post 20 miler. Today I'm having trouble finding an appetite. I need to make myself do the right things, I'm just really having a hard time putting one foot in front of the other.
