Travel recs - Frankfurt

I’ll be in Frankfurt, Germany for work for about 2 weeks at the end of this month.

Will have evenings and a weekend to so whatever so looking for recs. I won’t have a car but can use the train or Uber if needed.

I’m late responding, but we had an exchange student from Frankfurt. Are you looking for restaurant recs? Tourist things to do?

We spent a few days in Frankfurt in the summer of 2023. I'll be honest that it wasn't my favorite city (compared to the other European cities I've been to in the last couple of years - Krakow, Munich, Salzburg, and Strasbourg). We did enjoy the Romerberg market square and the Stadel Museum (art museum). (One of our days we spent in the town that DH's maternal grandma grew up in, so that's why we were in Frankfurt - it was the nearest big city.)

For your weekend in Germany, I would suggest traveling to a smaller town or another city. Strasbourg was about a 2-2.5 hour train ride from Frankfurt and I loved our time there. However, you could check out Rick Steves's website/blog for other cities/towns around Frankfurt.
