What boots are you wearing with skirts and dresses? I got a brown suede skirt and a black leather skirt (both are mini skirts/above the knee length) and could use inspiration.
I am interested in responses as well. My brown Clarks riding boots have finally gotten to a state of wear where I'm getting rid of them, and DD2 has more or less absconded with my black BOC/Born Concept riding boots. I have some birthday money to spend so I am looking to replace both pairs.
I want something with a flat or low heel. I loved the BOC boots b/c they were flat and so comfortable, but they only have that style in a chocolate brown now and I'm looking for something more mid-toned like a caramel or cognac.
I got these last year and I'm actually wearing them today. They could be more comfortable (I should probably add an insert) but they are fairly comfortable and look great with lots of outfits. Vince Camuto Kaleeca Boot. The ones I have are a taupe colour.

I was just trying things on yesterday trying to figure out what to wear with a new sweater type dress I got. I'm hoping it's still in "style" to wear my Frye riding boots with them. I have 10 year old Melissa button back zip riding boots that are still in great shape so I'd love to wear them. But are they so 10 years ago? 🙂

I wore my brown riding boots with a denim dress yesterday and got complimented (by a teenager! and sincerely!) on my outfit.
If you go with tall boots, I would mix the colors, so black boots with a brown suede skirt, and brown boots with a black skirt. I still like ankle boots too, and those I would do black with black probably. I would also do loafers or ballet flats with short skirts. I pick my shoe based on weather and level of comfort needed for whatever I'm doing that day.

I have tall black, brown, and gray leather riding boots and booties in dark brown and black suede.
I like wearing my dark brown leather riding boots w black bc it breaks it up a bit. I'm not afraid to mix colors, heights, or textures. I'll wear my black suede booties w/ a midi length jersey skirt or the dark brown ones w tights and a knee length black dress.
Mid-calf olive suede stacked-heel pointy toe chelsea boots, or lace-up lug sole black combat boots. I haven't worn riding boots in a few years (post skinny jeans) but I'm holding on to them as I'm sure they'll be back.

I was also looking at the Born Shauni II for a brown boot -- the Born shoes website has a 25% off right now -- but the reviews are very mixed.
I have these in cognac and they are very comfortable and have lasted a long time (I have polished them a couple times but then they're like brand new again).
I have them in black on my christmas list this year.
Sizes to fit everyone. Bonus: You can also ride horses in them! I have this pair and its predecessor. They also last forever if you aren't running around a barn in them. Otherwise you get 5-7 years with them.
