1) I totally thought this was about some GOP 'they're eating babies' insanity. Literally thought "OMFG, now they're claiming THIS!?"
2) GOOD for this billboard. women are damned if they do, damned if they don't, for using formula AND breastfeeding. Literally no matter how we feed our kids, we're judged and criticized. BF in public: "ew, cover that up." FF in public "breast is best, you shouldn't use formula." Fuck that. Glad to see FEEDING A BABY being normalized, which is a completely insane thing to have to launch a PR campaign about, but here we are.

I’m thankful I breastfeed in public till my daughter was 22 months with no cover and never once had a problem. Planes, trains, coffee shops, park benches, museums, etc. I also pumped many places- Ubers, a theater (silent hand pump), etc.
So I’m definitely happy to see more and more images of normalizing breast and formula feeding. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any images of pumping like this. Of course I’m always skeptical of capitalism and this obviously being an ad for a product, but I’ll take it (without knowing more about the company to be honest).
Ugh, the same author was featured in a lactation cookie ad whilst pregnant, wearing a bikini top, underwear and open cardigan, and it was pulled from Times Square for being “too racy”.

I’m glad to see this. Anything that normalizes feeding babies is great! Between my three I was only shamed for feeding my kid once. It was at church on Christmas Eve, at the children’s mass. We went because FIL leads the folk choir, and H and I were involved in it when we were in HS, so we wanted to say hi to people, introduce our kids, etc. my 6 month old got fussy, so I popped her under a blanket and fed her and some old, white man id never seen told me that was shameful and inappropriate church behavior. I asked him how he thought Jesus ate the night he was born and never went back to church after that except major family events (weddings, communions, funerals).

Yep - I couldn't breastfeed DD due to her being a NICU baby and my super low supply from previous breast reduction surgery. I was able to partially breastfeed DS, however, but was about 80% formula fed again due to low supply.
Normalizing feeding babies however they need to be fed is great!
