Not sure if it's too early for this, but I've found some great stuff for my kids lately and wanted to pass along the info in case there are things you're looking for. Please also add your own! We haven't used all of these yet so cannot speak to their quality (I'll note if we did use them and liked them!)
I have an 11 year old DD and 9 year old DS. Here are some things they've gotten recently or are getting as holiday gifts. I don't make commission or anything, just trying to be helpful. My kids are still in the toy phase at least a little!
MP3 Player: link - DD has this and listens to it on the bus because she doesn't have a phone and most kids are on the phone. It has been working well for us!

Non-Amazon:
DS is suddenly obsessed with rocks. I ordered a bucket from Declan's Mining Co on TikTok (free shipping there some days!). It is AMAZING. So much fun, he has been playing with it for hours.
He also wants a new electric scooter, but we haven’t decided yet if he’s getting one or not. I’m a little worried about safety…
Not sure if he already has one, but my kids both love their hover seats. They are fast, but seem safer to me than the scooter. You have to buy the hoverboard and seat separately. We do not let them stand on the hoverboards.
My 7 year old loves this mini indoor basketball hoop! Hangs on the back of the door. We have ours on the closet door in our playroom and DS uses it daily.
My almost 14 year old is going to be so easy this year! I’m sort of scared. This is the easiest it’s been in 5 years! She has an actual list and everything. This is what she wants:
Black high top converse Curling iron New softball bat Softball tee Gift card to Dick’s, Barnes and Noble, and Starbucks Graphic Tee’s from Altar’d State Weekender shorts from Athleta Magnatiles (yep random but also ok) Sol de Janeiro spray
Between her birthday and Christmas she will get all of that.
ETA: we also got tickets to the symphony brass spectacular as a family gift (she’s a trombone player).
I was thinking about getting my kids (particularly my older two) t-shirts for bands or artists they like since the middle school does a lot of “spirit weeks” where one day you are supposed to wear this kind of stuff but I have no idea where to buy these outside of merch at a concert.
Do I just pick a rando on Amazon or Etsy? I’d love for it to be returnable just in case it doesn’t fit or they hate it.

Hot Topic usually has lots of band tees and you could buy in person that way.
Amazon has a section selling from artist/tour stores directly so they do have a lot too.

Could you please share yours? My son wants one and the one we bought broke immediately

I’m torn about whether or not to get him one, and which type. Some kids in our neighborhood zip around on adult-sized electric scooters (in the $400-$500) range, and they look way too fast to be safe for a 10-year-old. But the kid-sized ones look underpowered to go up and down some of our hills. If we get him one, I want him to be able to ride it to and from middle school next year, which is about 1.5 miles away, and there’s a sizable hill on the way home that makes biking or regular scooters nearly impossible to navigate.
My 12.5 year old is getting a makeup instruction class from Sephora that she will love.
Would this be acceptable for an adult? I feel like I could use such a thing!
We did something like this as part of a bachelorette party weekend years ago. I'm sure they'd welcome adults, they want you to love the looks and then buy things afterwards!
