I’m heading to a conference in Orlando next week at the Dolphin and Swan. Rooms there were booked, and so I’m in the overflow hotel—which via maps seems really far away (Hilton Buena Vista Palace near Disney Springs)
I’d like to go to Epcot one evening (using the conference after 5pm ticket), but looking at the map it would seem silly to Uber back to the hotel at rush hour, then back to Epcot.
Any advice on how you would navigate this logistically? Look for a locker for my conference materials as I go to Epcot? Is it actually closer than it looks?
How would you do this—it feels like I’m overthinking it and making it harder than it needs to be because so much of Disney feels overwhelming as a rookie.

It's about 15-20 minutes from that location.
There are lockers inside Epcot-if you are coming from the international gateway (which is closest to the Swan/Dolphin), they are between France and England after you enter the park. It's annoying because you will have to go through security with your full bag, but it's doable. It's probably your best best, and would cost less than an Uber ride.
There's also lockers near the ball, which is closer to the side you will probably exit at night if you are taking resort transportation. But if you want to leave from the international gateway, just walk to the Boardwalk and call an Uber from there.

Can you leave your conference stuff in a backpack at the swan/dolphin in the luggage check area and then retrieve it on your way back to the hotel or the next morning?
Thanks for the ideas! I like the idea of trying to valet check a bag at the conference—for some reason I assumed I’d need a room there ro do that, but maybe not.
My backup plan will be the lockers in Epcot, so thank you for the specific details. It will help me search it out 👍
