I screwed up and put enough in my DCFSA to cover DS's summer camp. I didn't realize overnight camps didn't count (which seems stupid b/c of course they serve as daycamp while I'm working....but I digress).
So now I have a glut of money to spend by end of year. There are quite a few camps from 12/30-1/3. Does anyone know if I can use the money to cover a camp that spans into the next calendar year?
Open to other suggestions for burning $800....$690 now that I put DS in baseball camp for an upcoming day off.
ETA: should have checked the FAQs....there's a 2.5 month graces period after the calendar year to incur expenses. Yay!

My guess is that they will prorate the camp cost and only allow you to claim the two days that are within the calendar year.
When I submitted receipts for my kid’s full summer day camp, the FSA account split the cost up by month so it wasn't reimbursing me for any of the July or August days when it disbursed money in June. (I believe you and I are both using the same FSA.)
