My brother is graduating with his BA in business this December. He took a long road here but I'm so proud of him. I was thinking about a gift that symbolizes things that are better with time or worth the time. (I just got my master's in May and am 7 years older so we both took our time!) Other than alcohol, what else giftable gets better with time? He doesn't wear a watch or really care about material things much. I normally get him funny gifts or gaming things.
Do you have any family recipes that take a while, so no one really makes it much? This isn’t a great idea but you could give him the recipe and maybe a finished dish? (That seems like work for you or him, ugh)
Maybe make a reservation at a fancy restaurant in 6 months? Or pay for a hotel for Memorial Day weekend? Worth the wait?
This is not really a serious suggestion, but the first thing I thought of was a playlist of “time” songs: Time after time Tale as old as time Old time rock n roll Seasons of love Turn turn turn
Other ideas: Flowering plant Calendar Hourglass Clock for his office
I really like the leather idea - I saw an option to get a belt with a message branded on the inside. His weight is very stable so that might be a good one.

H and I are both finishing our degrees in Nov. I would love anyone to notice the hard work we have put in as a working adult. A card would be more than enough for me.
I am also down for a wheel of cheese 😂
What about a nice night out? H and I want to celebrate with our friends and family.
georgeglass I thought people might worry about that but no. As I mentioned, we both took a while with things and he has been successful along the way - this is a personal achievement for him, not something he had to do - and it's something we talk about often. He went into construction after high school and got an associate's, then into hospital administration and now is looking to get his master's in a tech field. He'll be 40 in January. He just did things his own way.
