I have this weird raised stripe (a tendon maybe?) that just popped up on my finger today. It hurts. I had surgery on this finger four years ago because I broke it and dislocated it. It’s deformed because it didn’t heal properly so it could obviously be connected. But that little raised line is new. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be? Another fun aging thing?
ETA - the pinky is deformed now too because it’s apparently a buddy finger to the ring finger and so now the tip is permanently bent because the ring finger influenced it. lol
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus
My husband has Boutonnière Deformity of two of his fingers due to arthritis. Hard to tell from your picture but the pinky might look similar.
Yeah, both the ring finger and pinky are misshapen now. My fingers have always hyperextended a bit, but those two are really wonky. My surgeon did two surgeries on the ring finger, and I’m at least able to close that band now, but obviously they’re still not great.
I forced my wedding rings on the other day and I think I may have caused some inflammation or something, but I’m going to reach out to my doctor if it doesn’t improve in the next day or so.

liverandonions - I have some Danish and Norwegian in my background, but I’m wondering if this can be injury induced rather than genetic. I don’t have a knot in my palm, but do have one up in the middle of the finger where the injury occurred.
If it's Dupuytrens, it's a really easy surgery, but I'd want it done asap before it progresses.
I messed this whole thing up the first time around. I broke it / dislocated it walking my dog and since it was very early days of COVID (like late March or early April 2020), I didn’t go to the doctor, but it got worse and worse until I finally went in and the surgeon was like WTF, woman!
