I remember a thread recently with a link to a website of notes for many of the IB classes. If course I didn't save it and Google isn't helping me much. DS is in junior and has started the IB diploma candidate program (or whatever it's called). Most of his classes are going well but he's struggling in English. It's always been his weakest class but this year seems extra bad. And not blaming the teacher, but she clearly has something major medically going on and is missing multiple days every month, sometimes the whole week so I think there's just a little bit of a lack of helpfulness there? I don't want to be negative about her because I'm sure she's doing the best she can with everything on her plate but my kid has a D and she doesn't respond to his emails. Anyway. She doesn't post her full notes on Schoology and (at least according to my kid) the packets of notes she gives them in class have to stay in the classroom, every student has a folder. So it's been hard for us to help him because he can barely tell us what they are doing in class.
I'm hoping this website might have something to help us help him fill in some gaps.
dl.ibdocs.re/ It is safe to browse, just not fancy. There's really so much there, though- holler if you want help finding something specific.
Our IBDP actually has kids take AP Lang in 11th, they do IB lit in 12th, so I don't have direct experience with IB Lang- sorry! I am happy to help find what you need though!
And please connect with his IB coordinator- if he's comfortable sharing his medical challenges, they can help let the teachers know they need to make accommodations. It's tough stuff for kids without many absences!

Thank you! It's the teacher who's having medical issues though, to the point I think she will be completely out for the next quarter. I feel bad for her but it's been challenging.
