No surprise for Florida, it's like all the Trumpers up and moved there since 2020. Which is kind of true.

Florida was never in play. I don't understand that whole thing at all. Miami turned red. first time since 1988. I've been screaming about this for years! I figured the calculation was that we could lose Florida as long as we got others. and I was ok with that.....until the whole "FLORIDA IS IN PLAY" thing happened, and I wondered why are we doing this to ourselves?!

I knew way too many MAGA New Yorkers moved to Florida since the pandemic. DeSantis made it a MAGA paradise. I am bummed for all the sane Floridians.

I'm in Florida and do real estate. SO MANY people from up North moved here during Covid for DeSantis and his policies. It's awful. It's not looking good for the abortion amendment right now.

Abortion is too close to call at 57% supporting a right
Legalizing Marijuana was defeated at 55%

This may vary by state. About 1/3 of registered voters in NC are unaffiliated. Which way they lean probably varies by county but I certainly would not assume they all lean towards Trump. In my county I would assume they lean Dem.

Last I saw, the abortion amendment was 57% yes but they need a 60% yes to get it to pass.

Marijuana was lower, would still need 60% and I think it was 45%?

It's looking likely Ohio loses on issue 1, the banning gerrymandering, and it's all because they lied on the ballot language.

We are bummed for ourselves. But I’m not shocked . I live in a very red county and I never thought Florida was in play. It sucks here. A woman I used to work out with is a realtor wnd she was fielding daily calls from MAGAs looking to relocate because of our great governor. It doesn’t look like our abortion bill is going to pass and I’m extremely heartbroken over that.

I say this every election cycle, especially during the Trump era, but I cannot fathom living in a red state/area. It would feel like living in a nest of vipers.
