Miami - two questions

Could I please get dinner recommendations for Miami?  I need two nights.  We aren't super fancy, but don't mind dressing up a little and going out.  We're staying downtown, close to the cruise port.  We will be doing a food tour of Little Havana for lunch one day.  We're also venturing over to the turtle hospital.

Parking - Parking at our hotel is $55/night, which isn't terrible, but can I just park at the cruise terminal parking early and uber to my hotel for two nights?  It saves a little and Ubering where we want to go will save FI's sanity.
