We are looking at going to the Keys at the end of May, near Key Largo. Are there lots of good beaches for swimming, boogie boarding, places to go fishing close by? Thanks!
You don’t go to the keys for beaches. It’s coral rock. Fishing is abundant however. From the shore under the bridges. From kayaks in the mangroves. And charter of head boats.
The Atlantic coast is better for boogie boarding (like the New Smyrna area). The Gulf is better for swimming in calmer water. Agree with pp about fishing in the Keys.
