I’m looking for advent calendars for my son who is 15. There are so many great ones for my 12 year old daughter but I can’t find anything cool for him. He loves music (especially classic rock and collecting vinyl), movies, photography, history. I can definitely just get a basic candy one but really wanted to find something that would fit his personality and actually be exciting. Any ideas would be awesome!!

Does he play music? Could you get him little music things? Guitar pick, sheet music, etc. and put candy in the other days.
This year, I ordered one for my 16 yo from The Met - it has a pop up tree & little birds, based on one of their artists in their collection. The MOMA has a candy one of NYC. Maybe not exactly what you are looking for but a little more grown up & it might give you some other websites for ideas. Good luck.
If he likes fishing, my teen got a fishing lure one that year. That was kinda fun. We've done Lego and funkopop in the past. This year, I am gluing 24 solo cups to a foam board and then filling each cup with something. Covering with tissue paper so they have to punch through to get their daily treat. I got random stuff like candy, Christmas socks, a Christmas T-shirt. Stuff I would buy anyway!
I had the same issue finding one for David (he's 16). We ended up getting him an Elf one (as in the movie Elf, it's his favorite Christmas movie). We got it at Costco.

Last year I got my teen son a chocolate one, but they were good quality chocolate, maybe from World Market or somewhere similar, not the cheap kind from the pharmacy. He loves chocolate and isn’t really into toys like his younger brother.
One year I got a gift for someone that was chocolates with acts of kindness on them, maybe from Whole Foods, but it was a 12 days of Christmas Advent.
