waverly, my eye twitches are the worst when I haven't been sleeping. No amount of hydration helps me, but if it helps you, maybe try eating bananas? That always works well for muscle cramps for me...
My pick-me-up after a bad day varies... Yesterday was a little overwhelming, so I felt like cooking a nice dinner and reconnecting with DH. Some days it's a walk alone. Some days it's a walk with DH and/or kids and/or dog. Some days it's a hot shower and bed. Some days it's a quiet glass of wine or cup of tea.
I like a nice walk. Sometimes a hot shower. At the end of the day, watching mindless TV in my comfy bed. On the weekend, I enjoy cooking with a glass of wine especially when it's cold and rainy. On weekend mornings it's nice to be able to sit and enjoy my coffee either at the kitchen table or on my porch.
My quick pick me ups include black coffee ( VERY strong, that is!), chai tea lattes from Starbucks and, lately, peppermint tea with honey. I really love our family dinners. It's one time everyone seems to be happy to be together.walks with my dog are great too.

I hate eye twitches and have yet to find a cure for ongoing ones.
My pick me ups usually fall into the unhealthy emotional eating category. A can of Coke is my most common. Or I'll stop at a coffee stand for my favorite red bull drink. Or a bag of Chex Mix.
I get eye twitching a lot especially when I'm stressed. The acupuncturist works amazing at making them go away and stay away for at least few days. He has shown me the pressure point around my eyes that will help alleviate them for a short bit. He also suggested a heated eye mask to help relax the eye muscles.
A long hot shower helps when I've had a rotten day or curling up in bed and reading.
After the impressively shitty morning we had... a workout was a great pick me up. And today's schedule was "arm jam dance party" - which sounds really lame, feels a little ridiculous doing, but was just what I needed. There's been so many studies lately that show that dancing can be more effective at improving symptoms of depression than SSRI's. Take or leave the science, but assuming you're not too clumsy, a little dancing definitely can't hurt anything.
Side note, I really thought I'd hate the Barre Definition program, but I love it. The instructor is everything I hate - too perky, for starters, stupid nickname and taglines, dumb names to workouts (see Arm Jam Dance Party!) etc, but the pacing and variety is great and the format is easy to follow.
Working out is my first priority if I haven't done it yet - or even just a walk. I also love to read light rom/coms, modern romance novels, that are fun and always have a happy ending.

My go-to is taekwondo. Nothing else makes me feel better like beating the crap out of a target or getting the crap kicked out of me in a good sparring match. For something a little less intense, watching mindless tv mellows me out.
A hot bath and a book is my go to. Meditation helps a lot too. If I get to the point of eye twitches (for me, that’s a high level stress indicator!), meditation is going to be my go to.
