I have been buying the Vera Wang sheets at Kohls for years but I have noticed each set I buy the quality has gone down. The most recent ones I have only had a couple months and they are already incredibly pilled.
I suspect I might find them warm in the summer. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. The Wisteria color is lovely. I also bought (and returned) a set of Percale sheets from the Company Store - I just didn't care for the texture as much.
I just bought a set of sheets from Quince. They are bamboo, but there are a variety materials. Love Quince for it's business model and the prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of the product.
I love the Threshold organic sheets from Target. They are soft and last quite a long time. The Threshold performance 400 thread count sheets are also good.
I bought some sheets from Brooklinen. I think they are the classic percale. I really like them. They are better quality than the ones I've purchased at places like Target or Kohls in the past. They are definitely more expensive though. I just waited around until I caught a good sale/code. I recently purchased a set of Cozy Earth sheets. They are bamboo I think. I waited for a 40% off code and a coupon code of those as well. I haven't used them yet. TBD.

I am also a fan of Threshold sheets. Damn. I’ve heard good things about L.L. Bean so I guess I’ll try them next. They’re a good company too, as far as I know.

Serena and Lily has the best sheets by far. Very durable and comfortable. They’re $$$ so I always buy on sale but they’re worth the price. I have the sateen, percale and linen and love them all.
I just spent days researching bedding. I’ve needed these for over a year (new bed after XH moved out, still using mismatched 20yr old sheets and a twin comforter).
To stay on theme of the “where are we shopping thread”, I tried to find more “socially conscious” companies. Some on my list: Avocado Pact Sijo Sheets & Giggles The Citizenry Parachute Plushness Nest Naturepedic Under the Canopy Couch Ettitude
NYT Wirecutter recommends LLBean and JCPenney Wrinkle Guard as top picks and the Target Threshold sheets as best under $50. DS has Threshold on his bed and they're fine.
Brought to you by the person who researched this last week when DH ripped a year-old Costco Kirkland sheet making the bed.
I was in a hurry that day, so I grabbed some organic Turkish percale sheets on my Costco run. They felt great until washed-- they're kind of lightweight. I think they'll be excellent for summer.
UO: I feel like the quality of Kirkland sheets is not what it was 10 years ago. The quality seemed to tank when they improved the elastic on the fitted bottoms.
The last 2 sets I bought wore out disappointingly fast. About 12-18 months. DH wore a hole in the bottom sheet of one set and ripped the top sheet of another one. I found the pillowcases were starting to fray along the seams within a year. The pillowcases from the set (different color) I bought when I first joined eons ago are still in decent shape. I swap my pillowcases out every 3 days or so, so these are sometimes in the rotation.

For summer I have sheets from pottery barn. They last 10+ years and we got them after a string of sheets from Costco and target fell apart for us after 1-2 years, which wasn’t sustainable financially or environmentally. I love that they’re sold as individual pieces, so when our bottom sheet ripped and the top sheet and pillowcases were fine we only replaced the bottom sheet.
For winter we have flannel sheets from the company store. They’re super warm and so far seem to be holding up really well. I think we’re at 5+ years now and they are like new still.
We bought Riley Home Percale sheets a couple years ago from a rec here and love them. Definitely more expensive but I can feel the quality. We've washed them every week and no thinning or issues.
We've purchased a few sets of these 100% cotton sheets over the years and have been very happy. They're inexpensive and hold up. They don't have that slick Egyptian cotton texture, because I actually dislike that shiny sheet texture. These have a much more natural feel to them.
