This is Cal; he's an Australian Kelpie that we adopted in NorCal when we lived there. He runs like the wind, if the wind runs 14 miles without stopping.

This is Nite. He's a retired racing greyhound (racing name: Darcass the Nite). He raced at Wheeling til he was 3.5, and he waited at the adoption kennel there til he was 5.5. No one wanted him because he was big, black, and shy. He's absolutely enormous for a grey (92 lean pounds; 75 is average), and this is how he always sleeps.

This is my Scottie Bentley and my niece. She thinks he's awesome. He's not as excited about her. We adopted him a little over 3 years ago from our local SPCA. Lots of people are shocked to hear that we found a small purebred dog at the local shelter, but they do exist!
Right now he's trying to convince me it's dinner time. Sorry buddy, not for two more hours!
Also, a funny--it's been a year since we switched him to grain free and his fur has filled out so much! Even the stud tail is gone! The vet didn't believe he was a purebred when we took him in this year because his tail is so fluffy now.
Penny is in my profile! She is half Australian Cattle Dog, half English Shepherd! (Her buds are in the background of the first picture). The second one is her in a more natural state, lol. We love her!

I don't post on here a ton, and actually disappeared for a couple months during the wedding/honeymoon time period, but now that I'm back I always like sharing my babies
This is Chloe. She's a 7 year old lab mix that DH adopted from the shelter before we met. She's our laid back dog, and would sleep all day if she was allowed. She does however have a big mouth and I swear sometimes she barks at her shadow.
Daviana is a 4 year old German Shepherd/Weim that I adopted from shelter shortly before DH and I met. She's our energetic pup. I used to be able to let her out in my back yard and watch her run laps, although now that I moved to the farm with DH she has a lot more room to just run with the field and loves it. She's a total attention whore and LOVES cuddle time!
Pippen is a 4 year old Maine Coon/Tortie that I adopted just shortly after Davi and before meeting DH. She's pretty sure she's a dog.... she comes when she's called, plays fetch, waits at the door for you when you come home, the whole bit. She's my cuddler, and a total Momma's girl.
Jinx is our 2 year old nut job. If someone is into something, causing trouble, egging on the other dogs its her. We weren't really looking for another pet, but ended up her when she and her brother were found in the skids behind a store. Her nicknames are Hitler and The Terrorist, and she's a total Daddy's girl. Her fav spot to hang out is draped over DH's shoulders while he's cooking, doing dishes or reading.
